The Democratic Party is in huge disarray right now because liberals can’t seem to find a candidate that is the perfect nominee to run against President Trump in 2020. They’re all divided amongst presidential candidates like former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Kamala Harris and the rest of the field.
The reason why is because some of these candidates are either ultra progressive while others represent the Democratic Party of old.
And this liberal television star now claims she’s the “poster child” for Democratic socialism.
“The View” has become the most obnoxious daytime talk show on television.
The ABC show features co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain and Abby Huntsman; and some of them obviously don’t get along but occasionally it gets to the point of massive on-air blowups at each other – particularly, the ongoing feuds amongst them. They are always arguing with each other.
That’s precisely the reason why Meghan McCain didn’t want to return to “The View” months ago at the end of her contract.
McCain said she felt “like a caged animal,” being surrounded by her liberal co-hosts.
She was “emotionally drained, angry and isolated.”
A source close to her said, “It’s getting to the point where it’s not worth the emotional toll every week. If she doesn’t stay at ‘The View’, she will find other work.” Ultimately, however, she stayed put and must have had a sudden change of heart.
But her co-host Joy Behar is dialing up her progressive views on the show, much to the chagrin of conservatives like McCain.
Behar recently claimed she was a “poster child” for Democratic socialism.
She said, “I am the poster child for what they call Democratic socialism. Unemployment insurance saved me many times. I’ve been fired several times.”
Behard being “fired several times” is probably the most unsurprising thing to have ever been said on the show before.
She added, “I went to college for free. I have a master’s degree that they paid for, Now, that’s what Democratic socialism is. It’s not that the government is going to own all of the industries.”
Aren’t these the same people, progressives, who claim the “white privilege” narrative? If that’s the case then they should really look in the mirror because that’s the very definition of what they bemoan about in terms of equal opportunity.
“The View” co-host’s comments came after many critics said Sen. Elizabeth Warren leans too far left. Sen. Warren might be the most progressive of the candidates and, yes that even includes self-proclaimed and unapologetic democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Behar said of Sen. Warren, “I love Elizabeth Warren very much and I think she would make a really good president but I don’t believe … this country would vote for her because of two things. Number one: she believes in Medicare-for-all without private insurance and – I’ve said before – Americans don’t like you to take anything away from them. We like having that … she needs to take that out and say, ‘Well, you can have it if you want.”
But that’s not Sen. Warren’s health care plan. The Sen. from Massachusetts wants to take away everybody’s insurance plans and have it government sanctioned. Not only that, but it will cost north of $30 trillion and everybody knows we don’t have that kind of money.
Behar shouldn’t be claiming things she knows nothing about because it’s dangerous to “The View’s” loyal audience. They’ll just regurgitate falsehoods perpetuated by Behar as if they’re facts.
