Hollywood liberals and most of the mainstream media insist that a blue wave is coming this November.
But as they always do and have always done, they underestimate working class America, who are prominent in Ohio, which held a special election on Tuesday.
And five Hollywood liberals took to twitter to plea with Ohio voters and vent about the results.
The election between Republican Troy Balderson and Democrat Danny O’Connor for Ohio’s 12th congressional district went down on Tuesday night.
O’Connor is a Hollywood-backed candidate they’ve been touting for weeks now.
But there was a wild card in the mix and they were the Green Party voters.
The elitists focused their energy on these voters, because if they could sway them to vote for O’Connor, then that would be a lock to destroy Balderson.
Unfortunately for them, that’s not what happened. The hotly contested race is still going on technically because votes are still being counted. But unofficially, Balderson will be Ohio’s next Congressman.
Here are five celebrities who were especially upset about it on twitter.
5) Billy Eichner
Billy Eichner literally made a name for himself with his show called Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner. The gimmick and premise was simple. He would bombastically and aggressively run up to people on the street and shout questions at alarmed pedestrians. It was immature and rarely funny.
Now, he’s one of the key roles in Disney’s live-action retelling of The Lion King. Here’s what he tweeted.
Dear Green Party: Can you PLEASE wait to make your symbolic votes at a time when our government isn’t being overrun by white supremacists??? Come @ me I don’t care.
