During the recent MTV Video Music Awards, one performer after another gave a speech about various left-wing causes.
They referenced Black Lives Matter, an openly Marxist movement, Jacob Blake, Breonna Taylor, and implored people to wear a mask.
The bit about the Wuhan virus is ironic because celebrities were allowed to skirt New York’s quarantine guidelines.
Travelers to the state are supposed to isolate for 14 days, but that doesn’t apply to those in the favored class.
Americans are getting a taste of how socialist countries work, right down to the exemptions for the friends of the party.
It shouldn’t come as any surprise that the VMAs dropped to 6.4 million viewers, a 5% decrease from the 2019 show.
Even during a pandemic where people are starved for content, people aren’t tuning in the same way.
On top of that, the VMAs were broadcast across 12 different Viacom platforms.
What’s particularly interesting about the political propaganda at the VMAs is that this show was a better produced version of the Democratic National Convention.
The DNC’s online convention turned into a woefully produced mess, so the VMAs had to pick up the slack by promoting the exact same ideas, just with better-looking people.
Since then, Pratt has been attacked for being a gun-toting religious nut who hates gay people.
It’s entirely absurd, but Hollywood is a venomous monoculture.
More and more entertainers have taken a hard left turn after staying out of politics for so long.
But in the Trump era, entertainers have been bullied into joining the fray.
Taylor Swift had been needled for years for not “using her platform.”
Now Swift sounds like she’s running for office every time she opens her mouth.
And when Cardi B is not performing vulgar songs like WAP (which stands for wet-ass p****), she’s interviewing Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.
This is the same Cardi B who went on a rant about her taxes being too high.
That just goes to show that many of these entertainers wouldn’t be shock troops for the Democrat Party if they understood economics and political philosophy.
