Professional sports have been dragged into the cultural war by the hard left.
Americans were content to watch sports without being subjected to propaganda.
Now Donald Trump issued one serious warning to the NFL.
The NBA has fully embraced “wokeness,” and they’re paying dearly for it.
Ratings are down at least 40% for the playoffs at a time when Americans in the midst of a global pandemic are starved for content.
People would rather watch Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity than NBA games, and that’s been reflected in recent Nielsen ratings.
The NBA isn’t doing itself any favors with their complete acquiescence to the radical left.
Disrespecting the national anthem has become commonplace, so much so that Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Issac was grilled on his decision to stand for the Star-Spangled Banner.
He was ripped up and down for discussing his faith in God, then mocked by some journalists after he tore his ACL during a game.
WNBA players walked off the court right before the national anthem began, and courts have been plastered with the slogan “Black Lives Matter,” which has been exposed as an openly Marxist organization.
The NBA achieved peak “wokeness” when players boycotted a playoff game to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The entire league shut down for several days, and even other sports teams postponed games or canceled practice.
After the latest moral panic orchestrated by the left, Donald Trump gave a stern warning to the NFL:
People are tired of watching the highly political @NBA. Basketball ratings are WAY down, and they won’t be coming back. I hope football and baseball are watching and learning because the same thing will be happening to them. Stand tall for our Country and our Flag!!!

Trump is obviously right.
The proof is in the pudding; NBA ratings are in the tank, and the NFL already experienced this phenomenon after Colin Kaepernick ignited the anti-American anthem protests.
Perhaps the most galling part of the NBA’s full embrace of wokeness is that it doesn’t extend to human rights abuses in China.
Players have been allowed to wear social justice slogans on their jerseys, but “Free Hong Kong” was seemingly not allowed at first.
That controversy broke out when the NBA Store allowed fans to make custom jerseys with such slogans, but “Free Hong Kong” was blocked.
The NBA eventually had to reverse course after the backlash.
As is always the case with the far left, they turn a blind eye to left-wing authoritarian governments because they’re ideological cousins.
