America has reached a threshold of fake virtue signaling outrage that is quite frankly unbearable.
Everywhere you turn, someone wants to make a name for themselves by turning a nonexistent or historical issue into a selfish self-serving proclamation as if they were the first one in history that originated that thought.
And now liberals want conservative ESPN star Will Cain fired for comments he made on “First Take,” about something that happened eight decades ago.
There’s no question that the United States of America has a controversial history loaded with horrendous atrocities.
Our Founding Fathers like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and many other prominent politicians of that era all owned African American slaves. The fact is while the country may have never materialized without them, they were undeniably a part of the problem that ended up initiating the Civil War.
And you can look at it a couple of different ways. You can look at it as they were flawed, as we all are, and compartmentalize they were on both the wrong side of history and the right side, ie the creation of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution following the Revolutionary War. Or we can demonize them forever and erase their legacies altogether from the history books.
What sparked the intense debate was a recent decision by the Philadelphia Flyers to remove a statue of Kate Smith prominently displayed outside of the arena since 1987 and the New York Yankees removing her recording of “God Bless America” that they’ve cherished in recent years.
Why? It’s because a fan called attention to other songs Smith sang, “That’s Why Darkies Were Born,” and “Pickaninny Heaven,” were racist – both from the 1930’s.
Cain made this article on “First Take” to Kellerman and Smith which sparked the echo chamber liberal internet calling for him to be fired.
You can watch what Cain said here:

Yes, Cain trended on Twitter after this segment and of course, they called him a “racist” for these comments. Some even asked for him to be removed from the airwaves altogether – “The Will Cain Show” airs between 3pm-6pm est on ESPN 2.
Worst thing about Will Cain is that everyone with a brain that works at ESPN knows he’s racist and he’s still got a position cuz 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

I know for sure @espn would never let a black man on there platform as bro Black the way @willcain is pro white,he’s so unapologetic racist it’s krazy this is on tv & nobody says/does anything.

Will Cain has some bad takes, but MAN he said some dumb crap on First Take just now.
Argues Katie Smith should be preserved in history despite her racism because it was 80 years ago and that it’s not harming anyone.
LIFE TIP: That argument is weak and invalid on many levels.

So lemme get this straight, @espn fires @jemelehill for speaking out against y’all president but then allows @willcain to sit up here and outright deny racism because it happened 80 years ago? Wow #firsttake#espn#cancelled

Was Kate Smith racist? Maybe. She sang overtly racist songs eight decades ago, but what you also may not know about her is that she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from former President Ronald Reagan in the 1980’s for her role in World War II.
Smith “stirred patriotic fervor” across the country during World War II when she contributed to selling over $600 million (billions today) of war bonds during a series of marathon broadcasts so our American soldiers could go win the war against the Nazis across the pond.
Again, it doesn’t mean what she did was excusable, but it’s all about compartmentalization.
