Leftists are looking for any reason to sow division in the country.
The reasons don’t even have to be true.
And one Hollywood hate crime hoaxer made a statement that will leave you speechless.
Jussie Smollett must have allies in high places because the left refuses to cancel him despite the fact he clearly faked a hate crime.
Supposedly his family knows the Obamas and Michelle Obama’s former aide intervened on his behalf when he was first charged in Chicago, so maybe the Obamas are the ones pulling the strings to keep him out of serious trouble.
Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in jail for a hate crime hoax where he claimed two MAGA hat-wearing white men assaulted him in Chicago, but he served less than a week in jail as he was released pending appeal.
While he was out, Smollett got a chance to promote B-Boy Blues, an LGBTQ+ film he wrote and directed.
He has hardly suffered any consequences for nearly sparking a riot in Chicago.
Smollett recently sat for an interview and tripled down on the lie that he did nothing wrong.
He even admitted he would be a “piece of sh*t” if he faked an anti-black and anti-gay hate crime…which is precisely what he did.
Smollett first complained about being pressured into doing the infamous Robin Roberts interview where he claimed he was attacked.
Smollett explained, “Every single word I said in that interview was the truth…I was so angry and so offended that I had to go on national television and explain something that happened to me…to represent all of us that had been assaulted based on who we are.”
The nerve of Smollett is galling, but it’s even more infuriating that press outlets are giving him neutral, and even favorable coverage.
He should be getting grilled by the media for the destructive lies he told.
Instead, the corporate press has largely forgotten about his crime.
Smollett continued, “There would be no reason for me to do some dumb, corny sh*t like that but people are going to believe what they believe…If I had done this, I’d be a piece of sh*t…that I stuck my fist in the fears of the LGBTQ community all over the world. I’m not that motherf*cker.”
Smollett also bragged that he is a writer, director, and producer, therefore he would not have staged something so cringeworthy and embarrassing.
He added, “If I were to do something, it would not be to look like a victim. It would be to look like, if anything, someone strong.”
This is completely false.
Victimhood brings prestige on the left.
That’s why there are so many hoax hate crimes to begin with.
It’s a joke that Smollett hasn’t been run out of the entertainment industry like some of the #MeToo offenders have been.
But Smollett seems to have defenders in very high places that are protecting him from being “canceled.”
