America is in turmoil after the horrific Capitol Hill riot.
After effects from the incident are still rippling out across the country.
And one golf organization just made an unbelievable move against Donald Trump.
The rioters who breached the Capitol triggered an unprecedented backlash.
Not only has Donald Trump been painted as America’s number one villain by the so-called mainstream media, all Republicans are feeling the heat.
Trump was banned from every single major tech platform simultaneously, and social media app Parler was essentially taken out by Apple, Google, and Amazon.
And that’s just the beginning of the Democrat Media Complex witch hunt.
Anyone associated with Trump is in jeopardy of being read out of polite society.
Now the PGA just announced that the 2022 PGA Championship—one of golf’s four major events—will no longer be held at the Trump National in Bedminster.
PGA CEO Seth Waugh told the Associated Press:
“We find ourselves in a political situation not of our making…We’re fiduciaries for our members, for the game, for our mission and for our brand. And how do we best protect that? Our feeling was given the tragic events of Wednesday that we could no longer hold it at Bedminster. The damage could have been irreparable. The only real course of action was to leave. We had to make a business decision.’’
The contract to hold the event at Trump National had been agreed upon in 2014, but the PGA is backing out because of pressure from outrage mobs on the left.
The Trump Organization responded with the following statement:
“We have had a beautiful partnership with the PGA of America and are incredibly disappointed with their decision. This is a breach of a binding contract and they have no right to terminate the agreement.’’
This isn’t the first time the PGA has backed away from a Trump property.
From The New York Post:
“In 2015, the Grand Slam of Golf at Trump National Los Angeles Golf Club was canceled after he made a comment about Mexican immigrants. The PGA Tour, too, moved its annual WGC event that was played at Doral in South Florida, which Trump purchased in 2012, to Mexico in 2017.”
However, Trump National in Bedminster hosted the Women’s U.S. Open in 2017.
Trump has long been a golf fan and is friendly with several golf legends.
The move by the PGA could signal a cascade of organizations that plan to renege on negotiations with Trump and his associates.
Because the left has such cultural clout, they can use the cudgel of social stigmatization to pound people into submission.
There is some blowback to the mass censorship being undertaken by the left, so it’s yet to be seen if this cancel-culture-on-steroids tactic will be successful in the long run.
In the meantime, Trump and the people closest to him will have to weather the storm, because the left is out for blood and they now have their moral pretext.
