Liberals despise anybody who supports President Trump. They will condemn. They will shame his supporters like they did towards Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross who held a Trump re-election fundraiser in the Hamptons.
Sports commentators and even Ross’ own players, like wide receiver Kenny Stills, blasted him, which ultimately led to Ross stepping down from the NFL’s social justice committee – something he actually co-founded.
But it was refreshing to see Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh defend Dolphins owner Stephen Ross because of his support for President Trump.
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is an unapologetic supporter of President Trump and successfully planned a fundraiser for his re-election at his New York home in the Hamptons with tickets costing $100,000 – and $250,000 for lunch, a photo and a private roundtable.
He raised over $2 million.
But Ross’ star wide receiver Kenny Stills was angry about it – specifically because Ross’ RISE foundation – Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality – because he thought it was grossly hypocritical.

Is it any surprise he would have that view?
Others don’t see it that way like University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh who tweeted on August 8th to his friend for being inducted into the NFF Hall of Fame.
Congrats to a Great Michigan Man! Stephen Ross to be Inducted into the NFF Leadership Hall of Fame https://t.co/TqCaCwqX0C

Of course, that didn’t stop liberal journalists from trying to smear Harbaugh for his support of his friend.
Cindy Boren of the Washington Post wrote, “Jim Harbaugh congratulates Stephen Ross on award amid Trump fundraiser furor. His tweet about Ross drew a strong response, with some suggesting it was politicizing Michigan fandom.”
The insinuation here is pretty thick.
But Harbaugh didn’t lie down and let people like Boren step all over him.
On his latest podcast, Harbaugh called critics of Ross, “Zealots.”
He said, “I mean, so much Stephen Ross has done for so many across so many platforms. Now, he’s just getting bashed. I even tweeted out ‘Congratulations’ for being inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame and I was getting backlash over that, over congratulating him for that.”
This is that “cancel culture” that is currently a topic of discussion right now and that’s exactly what Dave Chappelle’s Netflix special “Sticks and Stones,” is precisely about.
Harbaugh added, “We’ve got politicians that don’t seem like they can please anybody. Right now, a house divided can’t stand. There’s zealots on both sides, no matter what. If it could be run like a football team and we all pulled together for each other, for the team, I think that would please everybody.”
Ross has donated $378 million to the University of Michigan too.
One of the big reasons journalists and liberals like Cindy Boren don’t like Harbaugh is because he said in 2016, “The thing I like about Donald Trump is he’s not afraid to fight the establishment.”
It’s a big shocker Harbaugh is disliked nowadays.
Harbaugh’s guest on his recent podcast was former Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon, who also came to Ross’ defense about the backlash he received for the Trump fundraiser.
Brandon said, “I felt bad for Steve, because he’s as generous and as patriotic a guy as you’d ever want to meet. He took a lot of grief over this thing, which is just too bad. Just too bad.”
