The NFL’s dysfunction is at an all-time low.
The NFL refuses to do anything about the players who kneel for the National Anthem and it reflects in their ratings.
And it was crystal clear that they don’t care about fixing the problem after they decided to do this one thing.
A handful of NFL players kneeled during the National Anthem on the Sunday of week one.
NFL players kneeled during the National Anthem
It wasn’t long ago that the league tried to come up with a policy to make the players stand for the anthem.
Of course, there was controversy.
Everything changed when The Associated Press got their hands on the Miami Dolphins’ new conduct policy.
It stated that players would be suspended four games if they kneel.
After pushback by mostly outraged liberals, the NFL gave in and suspended the rule.
They promised to address the issue before the season started. https://www.americanpatriotdaily.com/latest/the-surprising-way-the-nfl-responded-to-veterans-day/
That didn’t happen.
Instead, they aborted the rule and decided to just let these players kneel.
A new report from The Hill suggests that the NFL has no desire to re-implement their rule.
NFL has no desire to re-implement their rule
The Hill said that ESPN league insiders are unlikely to go through with the rule because of backlash from the NFL Players Association.
A joint statement from the NFLPA and the league read, “The NFL and NFLPA, through recent discussions, have been working on a resolution to the anthem issue. In order to allow this constructive dialogue to continue, we have come to a standstill agreement on the NFLPA’s grievance and on the NFL’s anthem policy. No new rules relating to the anthem will be issued or enforced for the next several weeks while these confidential discussions are ongoing.”
Except the individual teams are allowed to do what they want right?
That’s what Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did.
Jones made it very clear to his players that they would not step foot on the field if they kneeled. https://offthewire.com/nfl-just-colin-kaepernick/
The owner ignored the league’s request to keep quiet on this issue.
It’s his team. He can do with it what he wants.
The thing you have to remember when an owner makes a decision like that it’s because he needs to protect his business. That’s like being told how to spend your money.

But when it comes to unions, they will strong arm the individual powers that be as much as they can.
The most hilarious part of the NFL’s statement was the last part of it.
They finished with, “The NFL and NFLPA reflect the great values of America, which are repeatedly demonstrated by the many players doing extraordinary work in communities across our country to promote equality, fairness and justice. Our shared focus will remain on finding a solution to the anthem issue through mutual, good faith commitments, outside of litigation.”
Some buzzwords there are striking here.
“Great values of America,” means they are absolutely clueless.
“Promote equality, fairness and justice,” is another hilarious line.
In a league where the players consistently have off the field issues like substance abuse and domestic violence, that phrase doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
These players complain all the time.
“I’m treated unfairly” even though they make millions of dollars.
They also claimed they want to find a “solution.”
But they didn’t.
It seems they care more about their players’ ridiculous antics than they do about their money-generating fan base.
That’s why the NFL has failed on epic proportions.
Do you think they did the right thing here?
