Jimmy Kimmel has spent most of the last two years bashing conservatives.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz has been on the receiving end of some of Kimmel’s harsh rhetoric.
But now Cruz got the last laugh as Kimmel suffered one humiliating defeat.
Ted Cruz drew the scorn and derision of ABC late-nite comedic host Jimmy Kimmel for the simple act of showing support for the Houston Rockets at a playoff game.
Liberal comics like Kimmel love to turn conservatives into “the other” by mocking them as uncool dorks.
That’s why he laid into Cruz for cheering the hometown team.
Kimmel and his late-nite pals are forever trying to prevent Americans from “normalizing” Republicans like Ted Cruz so they can continue to lie that their policies are outside the mainstream of American life.
Cruz responded with light ribbing and challenged Kimmel to a one-on-one basketball game. After a snarky back-and-forth over social media, Kimmel surprisingly accepted.
The two agreed to send the proceeds from the game to non-partisan charities. After heavy trash-talking from Kimmel, 5,000+ fans in attendance got to witness Cruz shut Kimmel up by defeating him 11-9.
The game was not televised live, but it is scheduled to air on a segment of Kimmel’s show, so his defeat at the hands of Cruz will be released to the general public for posterity.
The game itself was an interesting cultural touchstone because it was proof that liberals and conservatives can coexist in America despite the best efforts of dedicated leftists who are intent on polarizing every aspect of society.
The instance of liberals and conservatives commingling was not considered a phenomenon, but the political chasm has widened between the two factions.
The interesting component of the divide is that it’s mostly due to the Democratic Party shifting far left.
Kimmel was once a comedic host who wasn’t afraid to push the boundary, even veering into offensive sketches, like the time he made fun of retired basketball legend Karl Malone’s speech patterns while wearing blackface.
But now Kimmel has somehow been transformed into St. James, and obnoxiously dubbed “America’s conscience.”
Kimmel used his platform to lecture the entire country about guns, even though he couldn’t articulate the “common sense” gun laws he was advocating for. Instead, he resorted to vilifying congressmen who are pro-gun.
Kimmel also used his late-nite pulpit to preach about healthcare. Kimmel detailed the story of his infant who had a heart condition. Thankfully, Kimmel’s child had successful surgery and will be fine, but Kimmel used that harrowing ordeal to push an inaccurate message about healthcare.
The surgery on Kimmel’s son was performed at Children’s Hospital, which is a charity hospital that mostly deals with kids whose parents don’t have the means to pay. That isn’t a good test case for why America needs socialized medicine.
Perhaps now that Ted Cruz has schooled Kimmel on the basketball court, he can school him on the drawbacks of socialized medicine, such as the rationing that has condemned two UK infants to death within the last year.
Both Charlie Gard and Alfie Evans were British infants who were denied experimental life-saving procedures because the government decided it was best for them to die in a government-run hospital.
Despite this political divide, Jimmy Kimmel and Ted Cruz found it possible to engage in a good-spirited basketball game for charity.
To Kimmel’s credit, he didn’t virtue-signal by backing out of the game for some absurd reason, such as not wanting to “normalize” conservatives.
However, people on the left must be in a perpetual state of moral panic and outrage:
Is this how you are spending your time during our national crisis over family separation? Kids are going to sleep tonight not knowing where their parents are. Your top priority right now should be to fix that. #DoYourJob

The left won’t be happy until they infest everything with their politics.
