Hollywood liberalism has festered for decades.
The film industry used to be ideologically balanced—even dominated by conservatives for a time—but has since devolved into a leftist cesspool of propaganda and hypocrisy.
But one Hollywood hypocrite is one step closer to paying the price for his despicable crimes.
Being on the left means never having to say you’re sorry. There’s virtually no crime or action the left won’t forgive or excuse.
Bill Clinton never had to apologize for lying under oath and smearing Monica Lewinsky before she was able to provide proof of “sexual relations.”
Left-wing feminists made excuses up and down for Bill Clinton, and Hillary covered for him for decades, going so far as to call his rape accusers “bimbos.”
However, that all changed when Donald Trump won the 2016 election and liberal journalists and feminists decided to promote the #MeToo movement as a way to deploy unsubstantiated allegations against the President as a means of taking down Trump.
But that meant sacrificing some liberal predators.
Enter the allegations of abuse against Harvey Weinstein.
Weinstein thought he would be able to escape retribution by signaling his virtue; in a mealy-mouthed apology letter, Weinstein reaffirmed his liberal bona fides and said he was dedicated to battling the NRA.
It’s no surprise Weinstein thought that gambit would work because the left has allowed it to work so many times in the past.
But to everyone’s shock, it didn’t. Weinstein remains directly in the crosshairs and recently turned himself into custody in New York.
From The San Francisco Gate:
Harvey Weinstein is expected to be served with criminal charges by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and will turn himself in to authorities on Friday, according to the New York Daily News.
The news of an arrest comes after a months-long investigation by New York law enforcement into accusations of sexual misconduct. According to the Daily News, Weinstein faces charges in connection with accusations made by aspiring actress Lucia Evans, who said Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him in his Manhattan office in 2004.

Authorities in New York, Los Angeles and London have all been investigating the disgraced mogul for accusations of sexual assault and other crimes.
Since the first bombshell reports about Weinstein broke in the New York Times and the New Yorker last October, more than 90 women have come forward to accuse him of various forms of misconduct, including sexual harassment, assault and rape.
In March, NYPD Chief Detective Robert Boyce told reporters that “considerable evidence” has been gathered in its sexual assault investigation against Weinstein, and that it is up to District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. to decide if and when to indict him.
Authorities in New York were investigating claims by at least two accusers. In addition to Evans, “Boardwalk Empire” actress Paz de La Huerta told investigators that he raped her twice in 2010.
Boyce said in March that detectives have spoken with witnesses who are prepared to testify in secret before a grand jury.
British police have been investigating accusations by at least 10 women for incidents that they have said occurred between the 1980s and 2015.
In addition, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has been reviewing five sex-crime cases against Weinstein, including three submitted in February as well as two submitted by Beverly Hills police late last year.

Weinstein’s storied Hollywood career quickly unraveled after the initial reports of sexual misconduct. He was fired by the board of The Weinstein Company, the studio he founded with his brother, Bob Weinstein, which filed for bankruptcy in March.
He was also expelled from the academies that sponsor the Oscars, Emmys and BAFTA Awards as well as the Producers Guild of America. Weinstein currently faces several lawsuits, including a class action RICO suit filed by several of his accusers and a separate one filed by actress Ashley Judd, who accused him of sabotaging her career.
Criminal charges at this point seem like a foregone conclusion. The full extent of Weinstein’s crimes are unknown, but the leaked harassment tapes and scores of credible assault and misconduct claims from Hollywood elite suggest this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Since the news of Weinstein’s behavior—which was one of the worst-kept secrets in Hollywood—finally broke, he has lived in a virtual prison. He’s been shunned from polite society and stripped of all accolades.
Unless something unusual happens, Weinstein will soon find himself in actual prison.
