Late-nite comics are America’s anchormen and women for an increasingly larger slice of the public.
These shows no longer feature “stupid pet tricks” or Johnny Carson playing a fortune teller.
Across every network, late-nite comics promote a steady stream of left-wing propaganda that is serving as a large portion of liberal America’s media diet.
For example, CBS Late Show host Stephen Colbert is an influential source of news for younger Americans.
A 2014 Pew Research Poll found 62 percent of adults who spent time online had heard of his Comedy Central show, The Colbert Report.
Americans are constantly being assaulted by liberal messaging.
The mainstream media, academia, and Hollywood pump their values into to spectators’ brains whether they like it or not.
But one stealth form of left-wing messaging is incredibly dangerous and should be treated with seriousness.
The secret is finally out that college campuses are overrun by leftists. The process of turning universities of institutions of higher learning to indoctrination camps began in the late 1960s.
Now the radicals of the anti-war movement and the New Left—a virulent strain of leftists who thought the old-school communists and socialists were too milquetoast—have become tenured professors and members of government.
For example, Barack Obama mentor and friend Bill Ayers orchestrated hundreds of bombings as a member of the violent Weather Underground, but now holds a professorship and helps mold K-12 education curricula.
The mainstream media has completely tilted left. Twenty years ago, one could read an article hawkish toward immigration in the New York Times.
But now the Times is partially owned by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim and is comprised of an endless wave of reporters trained at leftist journalism schools, so it’s impossible to see a critique of immigration in the current-day Times.
Hollywood, which was once a fairly conservative industry, slowly slid into the hands of leftists. Now conservatives in Hollywood must meet in secret for fear of being blacklisted.
However, there’s an insidious branch of Hollywood that’s greatly affecting the political discourse: late-nite comedy shows.
All of the comedy shows skew hard left. It’s not even open for debate. Jimmy Kimmel reportedly consulted with Chuck Schumer on policy before falling into one of his tear-filled harangues.
Stephen Colbert made his name on being a caricature of a Republican but now gets to be his lefty self.
After Donald Trump Jr. posted a funny tweet about socialism, Colbert felt it necessary to dedicate a full segment on the merits of socialism. He went as far as praising Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, the architects of an ideology responsible for the death of 100 million people.
Colbert once had an embarrassing moment where he announced the firing of disgraced former FBI director James Comey and his entire audience broke into raucous cheer.
Colbert was caught off-guard, and quickly had to train his audience that “firing Comey equal bad.”
Speaking of an audience unsure of what to do, The Daily Show host Trevor Noah once confused the crowd when discussing Donald Trump and Elizabeth Warren.
Noah actually called out Warren for being a fake Native American and said that in a strange way, Donald Trump was being “woke” by calling her Pocahontas.
The audience laughed nervously, unsure of what to do.
Comedy Central host Samantha Bee has the subtlety of a jackhammer. Her entire brand of political comedy entails calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c***” because she can’t snap her fingers and change immigration laws to Bee’s liking.
Meanwhile, Bee produced a segment that was a veritable valentine to former Democratic New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman…before he was revealed to be a sexual deviant.
The thread is the same in all of these shows. The left is correct, and the right is deplorable.
Late-nite hosts Jimmy Fallon and James Corden were actually ripped for being too cozy with Republicans. Fallon had Trump on his show and playfully mussed his hair, and Corden was seen buddied up with former press secretary Sean Spicer.
These comedians have morphed into activists under everyone’s noses. And the sleight-of-hand they all pull when they’re called out for their blatant political hackery is to claim that they’re “just comedians.”
Hopefully, people are beginning to see behind the façade. These comedians are propaganda machines, and it’s no laughing matter.
