Injuries are a dime a dozen in the NFL.
There have already been a slew of season-ending injuries thus far that include superstars JJ Watt and Odell Beckham, Jr.
But losing both of them isn’t nearly as bad as losing one of the greats who suffered a catastrophic blow on Sunday.
Depending on whom you ask, the best quarterback in the league is a toss-up between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
People call Rodgers the best passer the NFL has ever seen, while Brady has more Super Bowl appearances and rings than any other quarterback in football history.
But the Green Bay Packers lost their golden boy on Sunday after Rodgers broke his collarbone. He will have surgery on it sometime this week and the recovery time will most likely end his season.
And now cue the Colin Kaepernick sympathizers who are calling for his return.
But there is a key part of Kaepernick’s background that could make his return as a Packer a likely probability.
Breitbart reports:
“With all of the subtleties and sensitivities of a pack of underfed hyena’s, the sports media wasted no time lobbying the Green Bay Packers to sign Colin Kaepernick after Aaron Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone.
Of course, Rodgers went down on the same day that Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL for colluding to keep him out of the league, and while it’s beyond absurd to think Kaepernick would get signed by anyone while he’s suing the league.
That fact did not restrain our fearless sports scribes. In fact, Rodgers had barely gotten off the ground before some of the more reliable Kaepernick sycophants began beating their ghoulish drum.
Enter Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, who has delivered such intense and predictable Kaepernick-worship, that it might qualify him for a restraining order in some states:”

Maybe Kaepernick is not the only option for the Packers. https://t.co/C0YqCgGUBH

And then Darren Rovell dug up an old picture of Kaepernick sporting a Brett Favre jersey.
Who knew he was a Green Bay Packers fan? Well, apparently he grew up in Wisconsin.

Even NBA reporters weighed in.
Colin Kaepernick. Birthplace: Milwaukee. Childhood hero: Brett Favre.
Green Bay Packers: Need a starting quarterback.
Discuss.

Unfortunately for Kaepernick, since he’s in the midst of suing the NFL owners over collusion under the CBA rules, this might be a lost cause.
