Everyone knows that NFL team owners share a lot of television revenue. Last year, each team took home approximately $250 million, which essentially is spoken for because it pays the players, coaches and staff’s salaries for that year.
Where does the other revenue come from? Well, it comes from merchandise and in-stadium ticket prices.
But the NFL still has no answer for all these empty seats in Week 4.
It’s officially the NFL’s 100th season but apparently that amount of time hasn’t solved all of the league’s problems.
Every year there are teams that are historically bad and therefore the consumers – or fans of the individual team – don’t particularly care to spend their hard-earned money on seeing the game live.
Why would you when the organization is rebuilding?
The problem is tickets for in-stadium games are outrageous and that’s not even counting the concession stand prices.
It’s a real problem in the NFL and while the easy solution is to lower the prices, ownership refuse to see that as an easy fix.
Here are some of the attendance issues teams/stadiums are facing:

It’s happening even at Atlanta Falcons games too.
This franchise is an embarrassment. And it’s absolutely not just the “expensive seats” that are empty. Arthur Blank has destroyed the gameday experience. pic.twitter.com/Wpy50kBLq6

Who can afford these prices?

Colts fans are still fuming that Andrew Luck retired.

Granted, there are a lot of teams who still sell out but those teams are competitive.
But even teams like the Los Angeles Rams can’t even give tickets away at the LA Coliseum. However, that stadium holds north of 100,000 people and the area is still dominated by Oakland Raiders fans even since they left in the mid 1990’s.
This all boils down to greed. It’s like a half-empty mall that refuses to lower its rent costs specifically out of principal – hoping they’ll return to its glory days at some point in time.
But it’ll never happen at this rate.
The NFL has put a bad product on the field since Colin Kaepernick first kneeled during the National Anthem a little over three years ago. This delusion that they’ll somehow return to the glory days is a joke.
