Liberals are quickly being exposed as hypocrites.
They claim to be for tolerance and free speech, but in reality they believe those principles should only apply to people with whom they agree.
The latest example of this blatant hypocrisy came when liberals celebrated the censorship of one pro-Trump commentator who was targeted in an appalling way.
Conservative author David Horowitz — who was a dedicated radical leftist for decades until he voted for Ronald Reagan — has said, “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
Horowitz’s words have never been more relevant than today.
The left has successfully taken over mainstream media, academia, and Hollywood, which means they wield a considerable amount of cultural influence.
Now that they have the reins of cultural power, they no longer have any use for tolerance of opposing views.
Herbert Marcuse, a preeminent member of the Frankfurt School (a consortium of professors who endeavored to convert the economic principles of Marxism into cultural Marxism), once penned an essay that said the intolerant must not be tolerated.
This idea has given leftists a pretext to shut down anyone with a different perspective on any topic.
It’s the reason any speaker who doesn’t adhere to leftist dogma gets shouted down or attacked whenever he or she visits a university campus.
This repression of the “intolerant” caused several major tech companies to ban provocateur Alex Jones from their respective platforms.
In the past, Jones has floated unsubstantiated theories, but he’s also been ahead of stories that were proven true.
That didn’t matter. Leftist elites decided he needed to go, so he was spirited away. YouTube, Apple, Spotify, MailChimp and other services permanently banned him, infuriating his millions of followers.
Perhaps the worst part of the Jones’ purge was that it was clearly a coordinated attack. Jones was banned from all these platforms almost simultaneously.
The lone major platform that held out was Twitter, where Jones still remains. The move by Twitter was surprising because the company has demonstrated a clear bias against people on the right.
Many on the left attacked Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey for his decision, but he’s thus far remained steadfast on his principled stance.
Meanwhile, journalists and celebrities on the left danced on Jones’s grave in jubilation.
Good news: YouTube, Facebook, Apple and Spotify are all banning Alex Jones and Infowars. Bad news: He’ll either get a job offer from Fox News or Donald Trump.

CNN host Brian Stelter also jumped in on the action.
Stelter’s dig at Jones was particularly galling because CNN has been one of the worst purveyors of fake news.
After Malaysian flight 370 disappeared a few years back, CNN host Don Lemon suggested a black hole might’ve swallowed the plane.
Just recently, CNN host Chris Cuomo tried to link Donald Trump to a shadowy web forum called QAnon through the number 17; according to Cuomo since “q” is the 17th letter in the alphabet, and Trump referenced Robert Mueller’s “17 Democrats” digging for dirt on him, that must mean something nefarious is afoot.
But somehow Alex Jones is an existential problem.
Others on the left blamed Jones for inciting violence through his “hateful” rhetoric but didn’t say a word when a deranged Bernie Sanders’ fan who endlessly watched MSNBC shot up a congressional softball game.
The left has no standards. They believe the only standard is power.
Esteemed legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, an old-school liberal and civil libertarian, was appalled by the fascistic tactics used against Donald Trump.
Instead of the left being troubled by the FBI raiding a target’s lawyer’s office, they saved their scorn for Dershowitz, who was harassed and ostracized on vacation.
This is exactly the type of censorship and authoritarian the left loves. Just ask them.
California Congresswoman Maxine Waters called on Democrats to harass Trump associates wherever you find them.
She’s getting her wish, and the left loves it.
