“Woke” politics are ruining America.
Professional athletes are supposed to parrot all the talking points of the Left.
Now a star NFL quarterback triggered liberals with one book on his shelf.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham was attacked ferociously by the Left when she said “woke” athletes should “shut up and dribble.”
Now the Left is channeling Ingraham as they go after NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers.
Over the course of a few months, he has become persona non grata on the Left because of his stance against Joe Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate.
Now Rodgers is angering the Left because he has Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged” on his bookshelf.

“Atlas Shrugged” takes aim at statism and socialist intellectuals, so of course the Left hate it.
Philadelphia Inquirer journalist Marcus Hayes was one of many leftists that ripped Rodgers up and down for having the book on his shelf.

Mediaite columnist John Ziegler, a self-described conservative/libertarian, had perhaps the best response to Hayes and the other triggered leftists:
“Actually, Atlas Shrugged really DOES explain everything … Damn, Aaron Rodgers really triggered the woke crowd tonight!”
Rand’s critique of the state and self-interested government bureaucrats does explain the mess the country finds itself in.
The D.C. Swamp exists to seize more power and enrich the worst establishment players.
Donald Trump entered office to take on the Swamp, and he was attacked more viciously than any politician in contemporary American history.
So far, Rodgers is not backing down from his anti-mandate stance.
Gauging the reaction from the Left, Rodgers is probably going to dig in his heels and stick to his beliefs.
Other public figures often buckle when the “woke” mob comes after them, but Rodgers has done the opposite.
It’s going to take more people standing up against social media backlash to get the country out of this quagmire.
Hopefully Rodgers inspires people to read “Atlas Shrugged” and think differently about the role of the state.
Meanwhile, Rodgers is not letting the off-field hate distract him.
He’s having an MVP-caliber campaign, and he just set an NFL record by leading his team to at least 13 regular-season wins in three straight years.
