Filmmaker Michael Moore is a rabid leftist.
He makes all kinds of wild claims in his movies and in the press.
But Moore just made one statement that was crazy even for him.
Moore’s Annoying Politics
Michael Moore has been a big leftist his entire career.
He first made a name for himself with the film “Roger & Me.”
It attacked then-General Motors CEO Roger Smith for closing auto plants in Moore’s hometown of Flint, Michigan.
After that, Moore became a darling of the left.
He presents his films as objective truth.
But they’re wildly misleading.
Moore creatively edits, puts facts out of context, or omits information that’s damaging to his outlandish claims.
He uses these tactics to obscure his true agenda.
Moore never met a big-government policy he didn’t like.
Behind all of his critiques of capitalism, health care, guns, and America awaits more regulations and bigger taxes.
In an old interview with Fox New’s Sean Hannity, Moore embarrassed himself on politics.
He said he wanted Hannity to pay 50% in taxes.
Hannity told him he pays over 50% when factoring in federal, state, local, and income taxes.
Moore made a critical leftist mistake.
Never give concrete numbers.
That’s what Bernie Sanders does in interviews.
Sanders’s top tax rate is “more.”
Latest Propaganda Film
Moore and other leftists are using their celebrity to influence elections around the country.
Moore pushed a far-left candidate in his home state of Michigan with the explicit purpose of taking back the House in order to impeach Trump.
One rising star in the Democratic Party that’s gotten a ton of media attention and Hollywood money is Texas Senate challenger Beto O’Rourke.
But Moore’s favorite form of influence is filmmaking.
His new movie, “Fahrenheit: 11/9,” is a shameless attack on Donald Trump.
Moore lazily and predictably compared Trump to Hitler in the film.
That isn’t a surprise because all leftists do today is call conservatives Nazis and white supremacists.
But Moore made another dumb claim while doing press for the propaganda film.
In an interview at the Toronto film festival, Moore said he would move to Canada if Trump tried to persecute him for the film.
First, every single leftist says they’re moving to Canada whenever a Republican gets elected president.
There’s a laundry list of entertainers who said they were going to give up their California beachfront homes and Manhattan high-rises to flee the country.
None did.
George Clooney even moved back to America due to security concerns in Europe.
Second, there are plenty of conservatives who would gladly buy Moore a plane ticket.
People Waking Up
During that same interview, Moore made another crazy statement.
He said, “(Trump) absolutely hates democracy, and he believes in the autocrat, in the authoritarian.”
The great irony is leftists are the true authoritarians.
They believe the Constitution is outdated.
They feel social justice is the highest moral, and leaders must do everything to serve it.
If human rights have to be trampled, so be it.
Until Trump starts jailing reporters and authorizing drone strikes on U.S. citizens and weaponizing the IRS against his opponents, Moore and other leftists should be quiet about autocrats.
And the public seems to agree.
More and more people are turning to alternative media for news because they’re tired of the left’s lies.
Also, Moore’s film bombed at the box office.
It only made $3.1 million.
