It’s a faux pas for anybody in Hollywood to appreciate President Trump.
Superstar rapper Kanye West has been on the Trump bandwagon since he became President-elect and claimed some of his Hollywood friends were too embarrassed to admit their support for him. So it’s no surprise some of these people feel like confessing their support would be career suicide.
And one legendary actor ignored that altogether when he posted a video – calling Trump the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln” and Hollywood is not happy about it.
Actor Jon Voight has been acting in Hollywood since the early 1960’s, but it wasn’t until his breakout role in “Midnight Cowboy” that rocketed him to stardom and he even won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “Coming Home” just ten years later in 1979.
He’s given outstanding performances in “Heat,” “Mission: Impossible,” “John Grisham’s: The Rainmaker” and “Ali.” Now you can currently see him in Showtime’s “Ray Donovan.”
But Voight is also a staunch Republican and has been for years. In fact, one of his upcoming movies that is currently in post-production is “Roe v. Wade” where he’ll play Justice Burger – depicting the most controversial case in the history of the Supreme Court.
He said of Trump, “This job is not easy, for he’s battling the left and their absurd words of destruction. I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again — that our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers, and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln. I’m here today to acknowledge the truth, and I’m here today to tell you my fellow Americans that our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct.”
One thing President Trump has made a point of doing since he entered office was to secure our borders and make so that other countries don’t push us around. Two great examples of this are doing away with the Iran Nuclear Deal and pulling out of the Paris Accord. Both were terrible deals that took advantage of the United States under former President Barack Obama and that’s what Voight is referring to.
The “Anaconda” actor also said, “Don’t be fooled by the political left, because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph. So let us stand with our president. Let us stand up for this truth: that President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

And Hollywood liberals were furious of course.
Actress Alyssa Milano wrote, “Now I understand why Republicans like to discredit actors and our political views. “Stay in your lane, Jon!” “Has been!” “F-lister trying to stay relevant!” “Nobody cares what an out of touch actor thinks!”
Actor Billy Baldwin – not to be confused with brother Stephen Baldwin who is actually a fan of Trump, posted a gif of President Trump and First Lady Melania saluting the Lincoln Memorial when suddenly the statue flicks them both off.

Albert Brooks wrote, “I like Jon Voight as an actor. He might be the greatest actor since John Wilkes Booth.”
Just let Hollywood whine about anybody who likes President Trump. They’ve got nothing better to do.
