Late night comedians have become mouthpieces for the Democrat Party.
They uniformly parrot the talking points of the Left while attacking conservatives.
And one late night host exposed himself as a fraud after one Democrat sex scandal.
The Democrats are essentially done with Andrew Cuomo.
Not only is he being investigated for covering up the number of nursing home deaths in New York City, but he’s been hit with multiple sexual harassment allegations.
If Cuomo were still politically useful, Democrats would still be rallying around him.
Instead Cuomo has been beset with calls to resign.
The clearest indication that Cuomo is in hot water is that the “woke” popes of late night comedy have all turned on him after praising him for a full year.
“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah went after Cuomo for both of his scandals:
“Even if Cuomo did think that he was just being playful, it’s still not okay…This is what bosses never seem to understand. If you’re a boss, you should never be flirtatious with your employees…So right now things are looking pretty bad for Governor Cuomo. He’s facing investigations and even calls to resign. You know that it’s not good when you’re the person in trouble, and you’re like, ‘Guys, please, remember all those people in nursing homes I got killed? Let’s talk about that again.’”
But not long ago, Noah appeared on Ellen DeGeneres talk show and described himself as a “Cuomosexual.”
The dated clip shows just how quickly the cancel mob moves.
Not only is Cuomo on the chopping block, but DeGeneres has since been put through the crucible for being a workplace tyrant.
DeGeneres began getting pushback after she appeared at a Dallas Cowboys game with George W. Bush, then defended the outing.
As for Noah, this isn’t the first time he’s flip-flopped on a Democrat scandal.
Noah originally mocked Elizabeth Warren for pretending to be a Native American, but later supported her as she was positioning herself as a contender in the Democratic primary.
Cuomo knows he’s in trouble now that Democrats are crawling out of the woodwork to take jabs at him.
Even members of his own administration threw him under the bus.
The late night comedy brigade coming after him could be the final nail in his coffin.
Thus far he’s refused to resign, but the Left will likely turn up the pressure on him.
There are more “woke” candidates that Democrats would love to install as governor of New York.
Cuomo issued a tepid apology in order to save his political career, but it won’t be enough to appease the mob.
If another woman comes forward and accuses Cuomo of misconduct, he might choose not to fight the tsunami headed his way.
