Corporate America has become disturbingly “woke.”
Multiple organizations quickly jumped on the back of progressive politics, especially in 2020.
But companies that supported anti-American protests just got a rude awakening.
Cancel culture is ruining America.
Whenever another celebrity—or even private citizen—gets “canceled,” leftists dutifully argue that cancel culture doesn’t exist.
That was the refrain from the Left after conservative actress Gina Carano was fired for a benign post on Instagram.
A Hollywood public relations rep admitted that celebrities post social justice messages on social media to appease the Left, but progressives still shamelessly argue that cancel culture isn’t real.
Worse yet, major corporations are pushing the “woke” nonsense, but the American people are not amused.
According to a poll conducted by Survey Monkey, roughly two-thirds of Americans are not on board with corporate-sponsored wokeness.

“Nearly 80 percent of respondents believe toymaker Hasbro’s changing ‘Mr. Potato Head’ to ‘Potato Head’ is ‘silly.’ When initially asked, 58 percent of respondents said they opposed Disney’s decision to fire Carano over social media posts. After being shown the actual post that resulted in her termination, however, 72 percent said they didn’t agree with the firing, including a majority of liberals and Democrats and 70 percent of Disney fans.”
This is the consequence of decades of left-wing indoctrination in high education, K-12, the corporate press, and entertainment media.
Radicals from the 1960s now run companies, universities, governments, and activist organizations.
So-called civil liberties groups like the ACLU have been hollowed out by radicals; the group no longer defends individuals with “abhorrent” views.
Progressive Millennials and Zoomers comprise marketing and human resources departments that enforce the “woke” agenda of these companies.
That’s why many companies suffered from the “get woke, go broke” phenomenon.
However, the corporate press as well as major companies have also embraced radical cultural issues to deflect from deals with the government to squeeze out competition and give consumers a raw deal.
Tucker Carlson recently exposed the con job when reflecting on how Occupy Wall Street got co-opted by identity politics.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and a recent study showed that only far-left progressives feel completely comfortable expressing their political opinions.
Supposed moderate liberals, conservatives, and libertarians have largely been cowed into silence for fear of having their livelihood threatened.
Even worse, when far-left radical groups like Black Lives Matter or Antifa harass people for their views, the press provides them cover.
Antifa has literally executed people in the streets, but the so-called mainstream media still treat them as if they’re “anti-fascists.”
Thus far, liberals have gone along with the cancellations of Gina Carano and now half a dozen Dr. Seuss books.
Eventually, the mob will come for something liberals truly care about, and they will be forced to make a choice.
They’ve blithely gone along with the crowd to this point, but they can’t sit on the fence forever.
