The dust on the Justice Kavanaugh saga is finally settling.
The Democrats tried to destroy him but failed.
Now Lady Gaga is trying to drag him back into the mud with one ridiculous statement.
The Smear
Democrats are willing to do anything for power.
They’ve proven it more than once during Supreme Court confirmations.
Ted Kennedy smeared Ronald Reagan appointee Robert Bork as a racist.
The charge was utter nonsense, but it was enough defeat his nomination.
The Democrats smeared George H. W. Bush appointee Clarence Thomas as a sexual harasser based on highly suspect testimony.
Thomas survived the “high-tech lynching,” and was barely confirmed.
But the Democrats took the smear to a new level with Brett Kavanaugh.
At the eleventh hour of a smooth confirmation process, the Democrats dropped a bombshell.
Dianne Feinstein sat on an allegation of sexual assault against Kavanaugh for six weeks and waited until the process was almost over.
The claim against Kavanaugh, made by professor Christine Blasey Ford, had no corroboration.
Ford’s best friend said the party where the alleged assault took place never happened.
Other women with bogus stories against Kavanaugh poured in.
Despite the smear, Kavanaugh received enough votes.
Gaga Gaffe
As angry as liberals were at Kavanaugh, conservatives were enraged.
The Democrats’ smear of Kavanaugh backfired in a big way.
Republican enthusiasm soared.
Their blood boiled at the left’s disregard for due process of law.
But over a month later, many leftists still haven’t learned their lesson.
Pop star and actress Lady Gaga is a clear example.
In a recent interview with Variety, Gaga shared her anger with Kavanaugh.
She said, “Judge Kavanaugh being appointed is basically like telling every single woman in the country that’s been assaulted, ‘We don’t care. Or we don’t believe you.’”
Wrong.
It’s telling everyone that evidence matters.
Innocent until proven guilty is foundational.
But the left is willing to throw that away for a short-term power grab.
Propaganda Army
The charges against Kavanaugh had no merit.
Ford couldn’t remember any details that could be confirmed.
That didn’t stop a gaggle of celebrities protesting against him.
Perhaps the most hysterical was Lena Dunham, who blamed an illness flare-up on Kavanaugh.
The left uses entertainers as a powerful propaganda Army.
It doesn’t matter if what they say is a lie.
They’re famous.
So some people give them credibility.
The other allegations against Kavanaugh fell apart.
And the FBI could be pursuing charges against people who made false claims.
But celebrities like Lady Gaga will continue to push a narrative.
They want to shape history.
They want it to be remembered that a great injustice was done.
But the truth is justice prevailed.
Baseless charges weren’t enough to destroy a man’s career.
However, in a decade or so Hollywood will tell a different story.
They will portray Kavanaugh as a boorish lush who assaulted Ford.
It’s exactly what they did to Clarence Thomas.
