The Dallas Cowboys are the only NFL franchise doing the right thing amid the rampant player anthem protests.
America’s team, ironically enough, was the very first team in the NFL to implement and plan to enforce a new policy that would require its players to stand for the National Anthem. They got a lot of flak for doing this but even star quarterback Dak Prescott agreed with the owner’s decision and then stood by his original statement when he was prodded about it again.
And Cowboys owner Jerry Jones rushed to Prescott’s defense with these two wise words.
The Dallas Cowboys are being attacked from all angles over their new team conduct policy.
The league, players and liberal sports media have all criticized Jerry Jones’ decision to force players to stand for National Anthem or don’t play at all.

Dak Prescott agreed with Jones’ new rule and the star quarterback even had to reaffirm later that he stood by what he said on the issue and defending Jones.
And when the media just wouldn’t let it go, Jones stepped in and stopped the nonsensical rhetoric by saying he was “so proud” or Prescott.
Jones said, “It’s just important for me to go out there, hand over my heart, represent our country and just be thankful and not take anything I’ve been given and my freedom for granted. I’m so proud of him, just proud of him the way he leads the team — for not letting it mess with their practices.”
What’s wrong with a little American patriotism?
Why is the media consistently try to demonize the act of standing for the National Anthem as anything but patriotic?
This is the type of thing that Jones takes seriously because he adamantly exclaimed in an interview recently that, “If there’s anything that is disrespectful to the flag, then we will not play. OK? Understand? If we are disrespecting the flag, then we won’t play. Period. Period.”
That sounds like a man who loves his country and wants his business – and by extension, his players – to be a part of celebrating this great country we should all be thankful to live in.
Even President Trump praised Jones for doing the right thing to by saying, “A big salute to Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who will BENCH players who disrespect our Flag.”Stand for Anthem or sit for game!”
Unfortunately, the NFL threatened Jones to stop talking about the protests or else. They said this as if they’re some kind of union mafia demanding that an owner can’t do what he wants with his team.

When Jones made the rule, the NFL and the NFL Players Association agreed to put a freeze on the original policy that prevented players from kneeling or they would face a fine and/or suspension.
After Jones ignored what the NFL and NFLPA decided and went ahead with what was the right thing to do, Jones had a scheduled interview with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he was forced to cancel after commissioner Roger Goodell threw down the iron fist with his stern warning.
Jones may have listened to the warning that particular day but it wasn’t too much longer before he would speak out about how his players should, “stand during the anthem, toe on the line,” and rushing to his star quarterback’s defense.
At least you know that the Dallas Cowboys, by far and away the most bankable and popular franchise, will not be participating in this anti-American nonsense. But you might have to stomach looking across the field at the other players kneeling if you really want to watch a game.
