The NBA ratings are in the toilet.
LeBron James has presided over one of the greatest collapses in professional sports history.
And a former Fox News host said LeBron killed the NBA with one terrible decision.
Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly called out the NBA for its historically bad ratings.
The league saw a near 70% drop in viewership since last year.
And as O’Reilly points out, the big reason why is LeBron James and the NBA decided to get overtly political.
“LeBron James has RUINED the league,” says @BillOReilly who reports that game 5 of the @NBA #Finals had less than A THIRD of the 2019 audience.
Plus, Bill says LeBron’s “pal” Colin Kaepernick penned an essay calling for the ABOLITION of the police and prisons… pic.twitter.com/A2ERpU3oXE

A decline in viewership from 18 million to a mere 6 million is an unprecedented drop.
Even the NFL didn’t see a decline that catastrophic after enabling the anti-American anthem protests started by Colin Kaepernick.
The NFL rectified its mistake this year by getting the television broadcasters not to show the national anthem so fans don’t have to witness any players disrespecting the country.
But in the NBA, not only have players knelt during the anthem, the league plastered “Black Lives Matter” all over the court, a blatant endorsement of the Marxist organization.
Players also wore “woke” slogans on the backs of jerseys such as “education reform,” which is Democrat code for “throw more money at the teachers’ unions.”
James and the NBA also didn’t help itself by turning a blind eye to the Chinese Communist Party tamping down pro-freedom demonstrations in Hong Kong.
Instead James and the NBA criticized Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey for tweeting support for Hong Kongers.
Since then, the CCP has only redoubled its population control efforts.
The Uyghur Muslims have been sent away to literal concentration camps, but the NBA isn’t concerned at all.
If the league wants to stay out of politics altogether, fine, but players like James can’t sit idly by while China commits unspeakable human rights violations, then turn around and label America an evil country.
O’Reilly also pointed out that James’s comrade Kaepernick has gone full communist with a new series of essays about abolishing the police and prisons.
Athletes have been led astray by thinking it makes sense for them to wade into politics.
The overwhelming majority of people don’t look to entertainers for their politics.
They just want to watch some ball.
