Colin Kaepernick has become even more radical since starting the anti-American anthem protests that have wrecked the NFL.
Democrats and the left-wing press have turned Kaepernick into some kind of folk hero.
And Kaepernick launched one jaw-dropping anti-police project.
Leftists have tried to portray former quarterback Colin Kaepernick as a martyr for his social justice cause.
The truth is Kaepernick already had one foot out of the league when he began his protest; the San Francisco 49ers went 1-10 in his final 11 starts in the NFL.
Since then, the “martyr” Kaepernick has signed lucrative deals with mega-corporations Random House, Nike, Disney, and Netflix.
Now Kaepernick is using his platform to push a radical agenda that calls for the abolition of police and prisons.
Kaepernick is releasing a series of essays from a collection of hard leftists arguing for a socialist takeover of the United States.
One of the essays Kaepernick promoted is from strident communist activist Angela Davis.

“Just as we hear calls today for more humane policing, people then called for a more humane slavery.” – Dr. Angela Y. Davishttps://t.co/oImgL8wPpC

Davis subversively calls for socialism throughout the piece, then lets the cat out of the bag at the end:
“It also demands that we conduct ourselves on our campuses, in our sports arenas, and in our political struggles, cultural work, and intimate lives as individuals and communities worthy of racial, gender, and economic equality — and worthy of radical, socialist futures.”
Davis’s radicalism is well documented.
She twice ran as Vice President on the Communist Party ticket, and only left the party once the Soviet Union collapsed.
In the 1970s, after being acquitted for her involvement in a courtroom murder to free members of the Black Panthers, Davis was paraded around different communist regimes and given a hero’s welcome.
Russian expat Cathy Young wrote of one of Davis’s excursions:
“On her trip to East Germany, Davis visited the Berlin Wall, where 262 people were killed trying to escape from communist paradise to capitalist hell. A 1972 photo shows her glowing as she shakes hands with Erich Honecker, the General Secretary of the East German Communist Party who gave orders to shoot at escapees.”
Davis also did not believe that people should flee socialist countries to join capitalist ones.
When a political prisoner sympathetic to communism wrote to her, Davis remarked through a spokeswoman that people behind the Iron Curtain were only imprisoned “if they were undermining the government.”
And that’s the dirty little secret of the left.
They don’t want to abolish prisons; they want to call them “re-education camps” or gulags.
They don’t want to abolish the police; they want the NKVD to enforce their worldview.
This is what Colin Kaepernick is promoting.
The Democrats are still trying to appeal to moderates, so they backed away from the inane “defund the police” rhetoric, but understand that this is where the left ultimately wants to go.
Kaepernick is the latest useful idea nudging society along.
