The sports world has been forever poisoned by politics.
Players and coaches constantly insert themselves into the political discussion.
Now one former NBA coach said something about January 6th that will make your blood boil.
Former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy has become a constant critic of Donald Trump and Republicans on Twitter.
His feed is filled with stale Democrat talking points.
And recently, Van Gundy tried to provide cover for Joe Biden’s failures by deflecting to the pointless January 6th House Select Committee hearings.
Van Gundy tweeted:
I can’t believe this would be a controversial statement but it will be — inflation is not as big a problem as a U.S. President trying to overthrow the results of an election and inciting an attack on the U.S. Capitol.

It’s easy for a millionaire coach to shrug off the highest inflation in 40 years, even longer when calculating with the Consumer Price Index from 1982.
Gas prices have been particularly crushing for people because it raises the cost for everything.
But Van Gundy doesn’t want people to focus on that.
He’s more concerned with the sham January 6th hearing even though Trump has been out of office for 17 months, was already impeached for the matter, and the FBI already concluded that the Capitol Hill riot was not planned.
The FBI should know considering they had informants in the crowd.
From The New York Times:
“[T]he bureau had an informant in the crowd, providing an inside glimpse of the action, according to confidential records obtained by The New York Times. In the informant’s version of events, the Proud Boys, famous for their street fights, were largely following a pro-Trump mob consumed by a herd mentality rather than carrying out any type of preplanned attack.”
In fact, the one man imploring people to storm the Capitol, Ray Epps, was conspicuously ignored by the January 6th committee until people began raising questions about his involvement.
Epps was taken off the FBI’s Most Wanted list, and the committee thanked him for his cooperation.
Meanwhile, people who shambled into the Capitol after security ushered them inside are facing hard time.
Also, the FBI could neither confirm nor deny that Epps was working with the government.
Everyone knows Trump did not plot a coup on January 6th.
He told people to protest “peacefully and patriotically.”
There are questions surrounding January 6th—such as what’s on the thousands of hours of footage that has been withheld—but none of the burning questions are going to be answered.
But Van Gundy and other Democrat cheerleaders wouldn’t dare go there.
