ESPN has gone full-on “woke.”
The network has decided that progressive politics is part of its core mission.
And one ESPN host walked off the set after a racist rant.
ESPN host Stephen A. Smith has carved out a niche as one of the loudest critics of professional athletes.
He elevated his platform by savagely attacking former number one overall NBA draft pick Kwame Brown for years.
Brown finally responded after two decades of being quiet, and he has several members of the sports media chattering class running scared, Smith included.
Smith responded with yet another attack on Brown that flopped; the video has 1.4 million views, but more dislikes than likes.
Reeling from his embarrassing failed salvo at Brown, Smith tried to reestablish his “credibility” by going full woke in a staged rant.
Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge retired, and head coach Brad Stevens was promoted to replace him.
Because Stevens is white, Smith tried to portray the move as an example of white privilege or white supremacy or something.
Smith even blamed black players on the team for not protesting the promotion.

Smith’s argument is absurd and it points out the blatant racism of the Left.
They boil everything in society down to race.
Stevens is considered one of the best young basketball minds in the game.
Before getting the Celtics coaching job, he took the small school of Butler to the championship game two seasons in a row.
That feat is difficult to do at a blue-blood program, let alone at Butler.
Stevens also had success as head coach of the Celtics, overachieving in some seasons.
Smith and the other “woke” members of the press also like to pretend as if there hasn’t been any progress in minority hiring in sports.
NBA franchises have had black coaches for over half a century, and more black executives are getting hired in front offices.
However, in order for the Left to keep people outraged, progress that’s counter-narrative must never be acknowledged.
The same goes for the so-called mainstream media narrative around the police.
Democrats and their media allies demonize the cops every chance they get, and they give the false perception that police officers are murdering black people willy-nilly.
It’s a ridiculous proposition not supported by any data, but the Left perpetuates that message nonetheless.
Smith can feign outrage and walk off the set all he wants.
It won’t change the fact that Kwame Brown and others have exposed him as a fraud.
