Hollywood superstar Chris Pratt has become a constant target of the left.
Despite his reputation of being one of the nicest guys in the industry, many leftists simply cannot stand him.
And Pratt ruffled liberal feathers with one message.
Leftists do not like Chris Pratt because they believe he is a secret Republican.
And he needled the left again with two trollish messages on social media.
First, Pratt posted on Instagram the headline for a review of his new Amazon Prime show The Terminal List that read, “The new Yellowstone: Chris Pratt’s new Navy thriller The Terminal List defies woke critics’ scathing reviews to shoot up ratings chart with 1.6 BILLION minutes of streams.”
As the headline suggests, “woke” critics detest The Terminal List, dismissing it as a “right-wing revenge fantasy,” which sounds entertaining to at least half the country.
Similarly, critics have been lukewarm on the modern-day western Yellowstone, which also has been appreciated by conservative audiences.
Pratt then posted again and highlighted the impressive number of views.
The actor captioned a picture of Dr. Evil—the villain from the spy movie parody franchise Austin Powers—that read, “One point six BILLLLLLLLLION minutes.”
The Terminal List isn’t overtly political, but Jack Carr—the author of the book on which the series is based—is a former Navy SEAL who routinely goes on Fox News and talks with Tucker Carlson.
That combined with Pratt’s alleged Republican-ness are reason enough for critics to dislike it.
On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the critics rated the show at a dismal 39%, while fans gave the show a sterling 94%.
Popular fare is often appreciated more by fans than critics, but the chasm between the two camps seems to be growing at a rapid pace.
A critic for Slate wrote:
“The Terminal List is a classic American fantasy about the goodness of the SEALs, the corruption of high-level government officials and corporate shills, and the purifying quality of righteous violence.”
Another critic for Empire Magazine wrote:
“If you enjoyed Jack Ryan and Reacher, this is the show the algorithm would say you should watch next. Ignore it.”
The critic reviews follow a similar pattern.
Pratt continues to be hounded by the left for his Christian views, support for the military, patriotism, and his refusal to be outwardly “woke.”
For example, Pratt once skipped a Marvel Cinematic Universe table read fundraiser for Joe Biden while other top-line stars attended.
Pratt also once wore a “Don’t Tread on Me” T-shirt; according to leaked FBI documents, the Gadsden Flag has shockingly become a warning sign of potential right-wing extremism.
Of all the people in Hollywood to criticize, it’s quite telling that liberals have a bee in their bonnet over a nice guy like Pratt.
