President Trump has been called some horrendous things while he’s been making America great again.
The fake news mainstream media and countless Hollywood elitists all frame our president as if he’s the evilest person to ever live – even worse than brutal dictators and serial killers.
And one musician, Billy Joel, recently compared something President Trump said to one of the worst atrocities in human history.
Billy Joel is arguably one of the great musicians of the modern era.
The singer-songwriter, composer, and pianist has been nominated for 23 Grammy’s and has won five. Joel has seven honorary doctorates from universities like Syracuse, Berklee College of Music and Fairfield, and he is only the sixth recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by the Library of Congress.
But he also hates President Trump.
In fact, Billy Joel despises the president so much that he just compared the Charlottesville incident – where violence erupted due to white nationalists and anti-fascists squaring off over the threat of tearing down a statue of Robert E. Lee – to the Holocaust.
Joel implied that how Trump handled the situation harkens back to Nazi Germany and eradicating the Jewish race, which is an unbelievable leap in logic.
The famous musician said in an interview on CBS, “It really enraged me. My old man, his family, got wiped out. They were slaughtered in Auschwitz. Him and his parents were able to get out. But then he was in the U.S. Army during the war and fought with Patton and was shot at by Nazis. My family suffered. And I think I actually have a right to do that.”
What part of the Charlottesville incident was even remotely like that?
Joel also insisted, “The president said, ‘There’s some good people … that did that.’ No, Nazis aren’t good people,”
When Trump said there are “good people on both sides” it made all liberals furious with the implication that some Nazis are “good people” but that’s not at all what Trump was saying.
The protests turned into riots when dangerous people got involved over the course of the 24-hour period. Full fledge Ku Klux Klan white supremacists and Antifa used the situation to escalate the violence.
The protesters who first arrived were simply against the removal of the statue of General Lee.
Everyone condemned the actions that occurred in Charlottesville that weekend.
It was the mainstream media that perpetuated this notion that the Trump administration is fine with the presence of Ku Klux Klan because it’s “their base,” but everyone condemned it immediately.
Vice President Mike Pence flattened the media’s message by saying, “I will say I take issue with the fact that many in the national media spent more time criticizing the president’s words than they did criticizing those that perpetrated the violence, to begin with. We have no tolerance for hate and violence from white supremacists, neo-Nazis or the KKK. These dangerous fringe groups have no place in American public life and in the American debate, and we condemn them in the strongest possible terms.”
But that wasn’t enough for the liberal haters who desperately want there to be a second holocaust and for Trump to be responsible for it.
They truly loathe this administration so much that they are rooting for failure and atrocities so that they can look supporters in the eyes and say, “I told you so.”
That’s self-righteous nonsense and these comparisons to Nazi Germany, Hitler, and the Holocaust are dangerous because it is so irrational, and yet, liberals actually believe it.
