Barack and Michelle Obama refuse to leave the national stage.
They’ve also raked up bags of cash ever since leaving the White House.
And Obama just made a stunning move into pro sports.
When Barack Obama was in office, he was constantly hostile toward business.
He pressured Wall Street by telling them he was all that stood in the way between them and the pitchforks.
He famously said “you didn’t build that” when referring to business owners who weren’t paying their “fair share.”
But now that Obama is out of office, he seems to have a completely different perspective on cashing in.
His latest business venture will make him an owner in the NBA’s affiliation with African basketball.
“Former President Barack Obama has become a strategic partner and minority owner in the National Basketball Association’s Africa business, which oversees the Basketball Africa League.
The NBA launched its Africa entity in May and values the business as a nearly $1 billion venture. NBA Africa oversees the BAL, which held its inaugural season last May, and has investors including Dikembe Mutombo, Grant Hill and Junior Bridgeman. The league said Obama would use his stake in NBA Africa to fund the Obama Foundation youth and leadership programs across Africa. Terms of Obama’s equity stake were not disclosed.”
In addition to this deal, the Obamas have struck multiple book deals, and they’ve partnered with Netflix on several script and documentary projects.
The Obama-produced documentary American Factory won the Academy Award for Best Documentary.
During the acceptance speech, co-director Julia Reichert said, “Working people have it harder and harder these days, and we believe that things will get better when workers of the world unite.”
Reichert’s statement was an obvious allusion to Karl Marx’s “Communist Manifesto.”
That’s the type of work being promoted by the Obamas.
Meanwhile, they’re making money hand over fist.
Elite leftists have a habit of amassing a lot of wealth while insulating themselves from their ideology.
For example, Patrisse Cullors, one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter, an avowedly Marxist organization, got busted spending nearly $4 million on properties in California.
Democrat politicians and activists are radicalizing people while living lavishly behind gated communities.
It’s the height of hypocrisy.
As for the NBA, the league is attempting to go global, but there hasn’t been any mention of the human rights violations committed by the Chinese Communist Party.
The NBA knows where its bread is buttered.
The league will promote divisive messages in America while saying nothing about the CCP.
Obama, who received a Nobel Peace Prize for nothing, likely won’t have anything to say about the NBA’s relationship with China.
It’s amazing how Democrat politicians claim to be for the people, but their constituents fall further behind as they get richer.
Donald Trump was waking millions of people up to that fact, which is why the corporate press hated him so much.
