The Democrats are moving wildly to the left.
And Hollywood leftists are using their platforms to drag the American people with them.
But one actor pushed back against the left and spoke up for the unborn.
The current Democratic Party is dangerously moving outside the American mainstream.
The Democrats now embrace gun confiscation, 70 to 90% tax rates, and open borders.
But perhaps the Democrats’ most radical position is on abortion.
Leftists have done everything they can to normalize the barbaric practice.
They treat abortion as if it’s a sacrament, and start Twitter hashtags like #ShoutYourAbortion.
Writer and actress Lena Dunham said she wished she’d had an abortion, and actress Martha Plimpton casually said her favorite abortion was her first one.
Radical feminist Amelia Bonow appeared in a video where she tried to convince adolescent kids that abortion was wonderful.
In the despicable video, Bonow justified her own abortion by explaining that she was simply too irresponsible in the moment to use contraception.
Abortion activists try to use the “rape or incest” argument to undergird the necessity for abortions, but those cases only represent a minuscule number.
Far more abortion cases resemble Bonow’s circumstance.
Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez said pro-life candidates are no longer welcome in the party, and several blue states are passing laws that will permit late-term abortions.
A proposed abortion law in Virginia goes even further than that.
During an interview, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam agreed with the proposed law which would amount to infanticide; abortions would be legal even after birth.
Notorious abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell went to jail for murdering babies postnatal, but his heinous crimes would be legal under the radical Virginia law.
Coincidentally, Northam was recently embroiled in a separate scandal when an old medical school yearbook resurfaced, allegedly showing the governor either wearing blackface or a KKK hood.
The racist photo took temporarily distracted people from the fact Northam is perfectly fine with infanticide.
Northam, his Democratic cohorts, and radical activists in Hollywood are pushing hard for the right to kill babies.
But actor Ashton Kutcher is resisting the left’s vile abortion rhetoric.
Kutcher is probably a leftist like the overwhelming majority of his Hollywood peers—he advocated for gun control after a shooting in Thousand Oaks, California—but he took a principled stand in support of life.
Kutcher posted a video on his Facebook page that showed Frank Stephens testifying before Congress.
Stephens has Down syndrome but wanted people to understand that his life is worth living.
In an excerpt of Stephens’s powerful message, he said:
“I am a man with Down syndrome and my life is worth living…I completely understand that the people pushing this particular ‘final solution’ are saying that people like me should not exist…That view is deeply prejudiced by an outdated idea of life with Down syndrome.”
Kutcher posted the video with the caption “Everyone’s life is valuable.”
Sadly, leftists don’t believe so.
Conservative actress Patricia Heaton was appalled by an article that said doctors in Iceland had eliminated Down syndrome, but their “cure” was murdering every baby that had it.
The Democrats are beginning to show their true radical colors, and the American people are not on board.
