The so-called mainstream media are always on the hunt for stories that tear at the fabric of the country.
Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett gave them a narrative too good to be true.
And hate-crime hoaxer Smollett was destroyed in one Fox News documentary.
Empire actor Jussie Smollett became the laughingstock of Hollywood after faking a hate crime where he claimed he had been attacked by two white guys in MAGA hats in the dead of the night – in downtown Chicago of all places.
Initially, Smollett was painted as a saintly figure for being the double victim of a hate attack since Smollett is half black and gay.
Smollett’s account was preposterous, but the Democrat Media Complex did not apply any skepticism in their reporting.
But Smollett’s story quickly fell apart as the Chicago Police Department expended massive resources to investigate the alleged hate crime.
The investigation revealed that Smollett had orchestrated the incident and paid two brothers, Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo, to attack him at 2 a.m.
Smollett sociopathically maintained his innocence despite overwhelming evidence he was guilty.
He literally left a paper trail by paying the Osundairo brothers with a check and was caught on surveillance camera rehearsing the arranged attack with them.
Now the Osundairo brothers are speaking out in the Fox Nation documentary Jussie Smollett: Anatomy of a Hoax.
Abimbola explained, “We made sure we got there at 2 a.m. sharp. We had no phones because he did not want us to bring any phones…So 2 a.m., he was nowhere to be found. He was not there, so we were like, ‘Damn, what do we do?’ We didn’t have no way of contacting him. He had no way of contacting us. So we waited here for about … four minutes.”
Olabinjo added, “But it felt like forever.”

Smollett was sentenced to five months in jail, although his lawyers have appealed the ruling.
During the sentencing hearing, Smollett melted down and ranted, “I would just like to say, your honor, that I am not suicidal. I am not suicidal. I am not suicidal. I am innocent and I am not suicidal…If I did this, then it means that I stuck my fist in the fears of black Americans in this country for over 400 years and the fears of the LGBTQ community. Your Honor, I respect you and I respect the jury, but I did not do this and I am not suicidal. If anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself. And you must all know that.”
The entire saga was a clown show, yet was predictable because the left has incentivized victimhood.
It’s a quick way to status.
