LeBron James has been a bad ambassador for the NBA.
He helped usher in “woke” politics that have hurt the league’s brand.
And James proved he’s a fraud when he got caught in another lie.
Years ago, LeBron James said that his goal was to become a “global icon.”
He accomplished his goal, but in doing so, he became a phony corporate shill masquerading as a political freedom fighter.
James put his phoniness on display again when he seemingly lied about recently slain rapper Takeoff (real name Kirshnik Khari Ball), one of the rap trio Migos.
James claimed to have known about Migos before they even released their first single, a move that music hipsters have been pulling for decades.
James said, “I was listening to those guys my first year with the Heat in 2010. You can ask any one of my teammates back then, they had no idea who the Migos was I was like ‘’I’m telling you these guys are next.’”

However, the timeline does not add up.
From Outkick:
“While talking about Takeoff’s death Sunday, LeBron James claimed he was listening to Migos all the way back in 2010 during his first year with the Heat. There’s just one major problem with that claim. Migos’ first mixtape ‘Juug Season’ didn’t come out until August 25, 2011. The first mixtape that generated some actual chart attention – ‘Y.R.N.’ – didn’t drop until June 2013. So, somehow, LeBron apparently knew about Migos dropping music before the actual group did. Pretty suspicious.”
James also paid tribute to Takeoff by dressing like him before a game.

This isn’t the first time James has been caught in a nonsensical lie.
He was once asked about his thoughts on The Autobiography of Malcolm X, and instead of saying he just started the book, he began rambling like a middle school student giving a class presentation on a book he clearly had not read.
James’s fake persona truly ramped up when he made the decision to become a political figure.
In 2016, he began stumping for Hillary Clinton during the general election.
Prior to that, James had largely been silent on politics.
But James saw the outpouring of support from the liberal media that Colin Kaepernick received when he started the anti-American anthem protests in the NFL.
After that, James chose to get very political in service to the establishment.
James claimed that black men in America were being “hunted” by the police.
In the immediate aftermath of a police shooting where an officer stopped a teenager girl from getting stabbed to death, James ignorantly tweeted, “You’re next” with a picture of the officer.
He later deleted the tweet and issued a weak apology after learning the facts.
However, when it came time to stand up to the Chinese Communist Party, James had little to say.
And what he did say was in support of the CCP; James scolded former Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey for expressing lukewarm support for pro-freedom protesters in Hong Kong.
James is a phony who will do anything to stay in the good graces of the establishment media.
