The sports world is being transformed into a multi-billion-dollar political propaganda machine.
Athletes and organizations have jumped aboard a leftist worldview with both feet.
And an anthem-protesting athlete promoted one message that will make you sick.
U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team star Megan Rapinoe has become an icon of wokeness in the sports world.
She was the first athlete to join Colin Kaepernick in his anti-American anthem protest by kneeling.
Rapinoe and her teammates also perpetuated the gender pay gap myth in their fight for “equal pay” with the men.
In reality, they were offered the same deal as the men and turned it down.
They essentially wanted the men’s deal, but better.
Now Rapinoe is speaking out in support of biological males competing against females in sports.
Rapinoe said in an interview that she is “100% supportive [of] trans inclusion” in women’s sports, dismissing concerns about fairness.
She continued, “I would also encourage everyone out there who is afraid someone’s going to have an unfair advantage over their kid to really take a step back and think what are we actually talking about here…We’re talking about people’s lives. I’m sorry, your kid’s high school volleyball team just isn’t that important.”
It’s ironic that Rapinoe is dismissing the argument about fairness when she said it was unfair that players on the men’s national team made more, which isn’t even entirely true when factoring in fringe benefits that the women’s team received.
Also, some female athletes in track and field have lost out on opportunities to compete in meets and showcase their ability for college scholarships, so there are “important” considerations at stake.
Rapinoe added, “And I think people also need to understand that sports is not the most important thing in life, right? … Life is the most important thing in life…We’re talking about kids…We’re talking about people’s lives. We’re talking about the entire state government coming down on one child in some states, three children in some states.”
Rapinoe completely misses the point that this issue will eventually hit the professional leagues.
If Rapinoe or some of her teammates were cut from the national team in favor of transgender competitors, she would like be singing a different tune.
After all, the national team lost 5-2 in an exhibition match to an under-15 boys team in Dallas back in 2017.
If the soccer equivalent of Lia Thomas, the transgender swimmer on the University of Pennsylvania women’s team, were rampaging through Rapinoe’s sport, she might see the absurdity of her argument.
Tennis legend Martina Navratilova disagreed with Rapinoe’s take and wrote, “I totally disagree with Megan on this. Fairness must come above inclusion—especially after puberty—around 10-11 years old…before that let kids be kids and just have fun [as long] as it’s safe. After puberty biology must come first.”
Despite being a leftist, Navratilova is able to embrace reality.
But the hardcore radicals like Rapinoe are all in on the insanity.
