The radical Left is tearing apart the United States.
All unifying symbols are being mocked and degraded.
And one Olympic athlete just engaged in a disgusting anti-American protest.
Colin Kaepernick’s anti-American anthem protest has sadly become ingrained in the culture.
“Woke” athletes and lemmings alike are tripping all over themselves to bash America in some misguided sense of activism.
What most of these athletes don’t understand is that Kaepernick has been radicalized to the far Left by 1960s era Berkeley revolutionaries.
His mission is to dismantle the American system, and ironically Olympic athletes are engaging in the crusade against the country.
Hammer throw competitor Gwendolyn Berry finished third in the Olympic trials and will represent the United States in the Tokyo Games—perhaps to her dismay.
During the award ceremony, “The Star-Spangled Banner” played, and Berry was so offended that she turned away and eventually covered her head.
Berry said:
“I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose…I was pissed, to be honest…It was real disrespectful…I didn’t really want to be up there. Like I said, it was a setup. I was hot.”
Berry believed that the anthem would be played before the winners would take the podium, and in her mind it was a “setup” that it did not.
She added:
“It was funny because they said they were going to play (the anthem) before we actually walked out, and then it just so happened that they played it when we were out there…So, you know, it’s okay. I really don’t want to talk about the anthem because that’s not important. The anthem don’t speak for me. It never has.”
However, USA Track & Field managing director of communications Susan Hazzard clarified that the anthem was set to play at 5:20 p.m. local time.
Hazzard told USA Today:
“We didn’t wait until the athletes were on the podium for the hammer throw awards. The national anthem is played every day according to a previously published schedule.”
Even if that weren’t true, so what?
It seems like being able to stand for the national anthem without throwing a hissy fit should be a baseline requirement for representing the United States in the Olympics.
The radicalism of the Left is getting too hard for the Democrats to contain.
They swear they’re not unpatriotic, but all of their actions state otherwise.
Berry went even further with her antipathy toward the country, saying:
“My purpose and my mission is bigger than sports…I’m here to represent those…who died due to systemic racism. That’s the important part. That’s why I’m going. That’s why I’m here today.”
Berry has all the activist slogans down.
She and other shallow leftists are degrading the country and making conditions so much worse.
Meanwhile, America’s enemies have to be laughing as the U.S. tears itself apart.
