Paul Ryan is a complete anomaly.
The House Speaker is always yearning for the spotlight and he will throw anybody under the bus — even if it’s the President of the United States — while claiming party loyalty.
And that’s why disloyal Ryan needs to go after this anti-Trump comment.
Paul Ryan recently addressed the comment about Trump allegedly asking for loyalty from former FBI Director James Comey, and Ryan didn’t hold back.
Breitbart reports:
Wednesday on MSNBC’s ‘For the Record,’ while discussing the statement from former FBI Director James Comey ahead of his congressional testimony scheduled for Thursday, House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) said it was ‘obviously’ not appropriate for President Donald Trump to ask for loyalty from an FBI director.
When asked if he believes it is appropriate for the president to ask for loyalty from the FBI director, Ryan said, “Yeah, No. Obviously, I don’t think that is.”
“I think Director Comey will probably get a lot of questions about that tomorrow.”
He added, “Yes, FBI directors are supposed to be independent. That’s something that’s very, very critical.”
But this is all hypothetical because it depends on whether Comey is telling the truth.
And that’s why Ryan’s comments are so controversial and completely anti-Trump, because he’s taking Comey at his word.
And both parties have considered the embattled former FBI Director completely incompetent.
On one hand, the Democrats criticized Comey for reopening the Hillary Clinton email scandal only days before the general election.
On the other hand, Republicans were fueled by Comey’s lack of prosecuting Hillary because he felt there wasn’t “malicious intent,” in her incompetence.
That means Comey is incompetent because he’s indecisive.
And when Comey gave his testimony before the Senate about his meetings with President Trump that led up to his firing, Trump’s lawyers fired back and showed Americans Comey’s true colors.
Fox News reports:
The president’s lawyer issued the rebuttal in a written statement that he read to reporters during a brief post-hearing appearance.
The statement sought to shield Trump and shift scrutiny onto Comey, who on Thursday delivered dramatic testimony that stopped short of accusing Trump of obstruction of justice but made numerous other allegations.
Kasowitz tried to rebut them one by one.
Despite Comey’s claims to the contrary, he emphasized Trump ‘never, in form or substance, directed or suggested’ that Comey drop an investigation into ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
Kasowitz also denied Trump asked Comey for a pledge of loyalty, contradicting Comey’s story and setting up a ‘he said-he said’ between the former FBI boss and the president.
Kasowitz also cast doubt on Comey’s explanation as to why he decided to leak a memo describing the Flynn conversation after Trump had fired him as FBI director.
“Although Mr. Comey testified he only leaked the memos in response to a tweet, the public record reveals that the New York Times was quoting from these memos the day before the referenced tweet, which belies Mr. Comey’s excuse for this unauthorized disclosure of privileged information and appears to be entirely retaliatory,” the statement said.
So Comey never stopped the investigation and Russia didn’t change a single vote according to Comey, but Paul Ryan took this allegation as fact.
And now it’s clear that he doesn’t have party or Trump loyalty — he’s only looking out for himself.
