Ron DeSantis has moved to the frontlines of the culture war against the left.
Some of the biggest institutions on the left such as Hollywood are taking aim at him.
But one stunning poll proved Disney made a mistake challenging DeSantis.
Liberals are stunned to see conservatives fight the culture war.
For so long, conservatives simply folded against the left’s cultural onslaught.
But Florida governor Ron DeSantis is showing that Republicans are following Donald Trump’s lead willing to fight back.
Activists within Disney bullied company leadership to go after DeSantis when he endorsed the Parental Rights in Education bill, legislation that protects kids in grades K-3 from “woke” indoctrination in sexual orientation and gender identity.
But Disney’s choice is already backfiring.
A recent survey showed that nearly 70% of people would be less likely to do business with the company based on its commitment to wokeness.
From Breitbart:
“Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group found that nearly 70 percent of respondents said they are less likely to do business with Disney after the iconic entertainment company came out in opposition to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law and after a series of videos saw Disney executives and producers boasting about including LGBTQIA2S+ content in programing for children. Some 57.2 percent said they are ‘less likely to do business with Disney;’ while those ‘much less likely’ come in at 11 percent — in all, 68.2 percent of voters are much more likely to look for alternative options for family-friendly content.”
Radical policies are not popular, but leftists can punch well above their weight because they control so many cultural institutions.
Mark Meckler, president of the Convention of States Action, stated, “Our numbers also found that parents are actively seeking family-friendly alternatives to Disney, which is great news for our friends at The Daily Wire Kids, at Angel Studios, and for creators looking to capitalize on a massive marketplace opportunity to provide more than two-thirds of parents the family-friendly choices they’re looking for.”
This is a losing issue for the left, but they just can’t help themselves.
Even a plurality of Democrats are not on board.
The poll showed that “48.2 percent of Democrats say that recent revelations of Disney focusing on creating content to expose young children to sexual ideas makes them less likely to do business with Disney. 14.4 percent say more likely, and 37.4 percent say no difference…72.5 percent of Independents say that recent revelations of Disney focusing on creating content to expose young children to sexual ideas makes them less likely to do business with Disney. 9.1 percent say more likely, and 18.3 percent say no difference.”
Disney has made itself unnecessarily vulnerable, and trouble could be ahead if the company antagonizes Florida Republicans.

If Disney is going to cater to the fringes, the company could take a massive hit financially.
