The Democrat Party is completely off the rails.
They’ve poisoned the entire culture with their radical views.
But an NFL player called out the insane thing one Democrat congresswoman said.
Congresswoman Cori Bush of Missouri is the latest adjunct member of “The Squad,” the radical freshmen congresswomen—led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—that was elected in 2018.
Six months into her term, Bush took to Twitter to blast America on the Fourth of July and proclaim that black people “still aren’t free” in the United States.
Many on the Left cheered Bush and defended her against detractors.
But Baltimore Ravens star cornerback Marlon Humphrey pushed back against Bush’s radical declaration in one tweet:
I feel free lol https://t.co/ouLzgMPJ9C

Humphrey’s response highlighted just how absurd Bush’s statement was.
Bush is a member of Congress arguing that she and other black people are not free.
It’s preposterous.
Some on Twitter echoed Humphrey’s sentiments:
Coming from a USMC Vet. My brothers served & sacrificed for “every” American & many others. We even served to protect the freedom to kneel if that’s what it takes to get the message heard. That doesn’t mean we live w/o racism but it means we all have the same freedoms.

And unsurprisingly, leftists jumped in to remind Humphrey that black people are, indeed, still not free in the country.
Marlo we’re not going to do this bro 😒FEELING free and ACTUALLY being free are two different things.

Anyone in America using Twitter does not get to argue that he isn’t free.
There are two deeper problems with Bush’s tweet and the responses in support of it.
First, progressives are largely incapable of acknowledging progress because in their mind if they accept that gains in society have been made, their arguments lose legitimacy.
That’s why they argue that things are worse than they’ve ever been.
Second, there’s a cancerous anti-American strain that’s growing on the Left, and it now sits in the halls of Congress.
Members of Congress as well as U.S. Olympic athletes openly mock and denigrate the country.
They’re essentially behaving like fifth columns within America, but their antipathy is not only out in the open, but celebrated.
More players like Humphrey need to push back against the super-woke narrative created by former quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The false bromides of the Left need to be mocked and refuted at every turn.
