Nike’s recent “Just Do It” ad campaign drew a lot of controversy before the 2018 NFL season.
It featured a meme of Colin Kaepernick’s face that said, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” It also featured a commercial.
But this newly released poll shows that Nike made a huge mistake with their 30thanniversary campaign.

You might’ve caught some of the viral videos that show people destroying their Nike gear as a result.
That’s because they made embattled divisive former quarterback Colin Kaepernick as the face of the campaign.
But a new Rasmussen poll proved it was a complete disaster for the biggest apparel brand in the world.
Between September 9th and 10th, Rasmussen polled 1,000 Americans.
They concluded that 45-percent of respondents have an unfavorable view of Kaepernick.
Rasmussen noted, “Forty-five percent (45%) of American Adults have at least a somewhat unfavorable impression of Kaepernick, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey. Nearly as many (40%) view the former National Football League player favorably. This includes 21% who view Kaepernick Very Favorably and 31% who have a Very Unfavorable opinion of him. Another 15% are undecided.”
It also found that 36-percent are less likely to buy any Nike products in the future.

This also comes on the heels of a Quinnipiac poll that was just released.
It was odd that these polls revealed vastly different results.
The Quinnipiac poll revealed that two-thirds of those polled believed NFL players had the right to kneel for the National Anthem.
It also said that 49-percent approved of Nike’s ad choice of Kaepernick as the new face. https://offthewire.com/nfl-just-colin-kaepernick/
To make things worse, the Nike stock hit its all-time high last Thursday.
And on Labor Day weekend clothing sales spiked 31 percent for the global brand.
But that’s not the whole story.
Those that burned and destroyed their Nike gear also had an opposite reaction.
The people who love Kaepernick went out of their way to go out and buy Nike products for that specific reason.

Even NBA superstar LeBron James trolled those that were upset with Nike’s decision.
He wrote, “Well I mean I guess WE’RE on [Fire emojis].”
Well I mean I guess WE’RE on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #JokesOnYou #NikeLifer✔️ https://t.co/OVPP54a3hz

Outside of retired legends Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, LeBron James is Nike’s biggest cash cow.
Trump was perturbed by Nike’s decision as well.
He said, “What the hell were they thinking?”
Out president also said, “Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way? As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will, until they stand for the FLAG!”
Don’t be surprised if the stock drops significantly soon.
The surge was probably due to those who want to prove the boycotters wrong.
Nike will feel the effects of their decision soon.
Nike showed all of us their true colors.
They support disrespect for our National flag and anthem.
That was a bad business decision on their part.
There are millions of people who will never buy their product now. https://www.americanpatriotdaily.com/featured/heres-where-the-government-is-banning-nike-purchases/
What do you think? Will you buy Nike products in the near future?
