Megyn Kelly is out in the cold.
Kelly’s embarrassing demise at NBC left much speculation about her next move.
But new data spells bad news for Kelly’s future in journalism.
Rise And Fall
Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes created Fox News as a conservative alternative to the left-wing media monopoly.
The left predictably decried the network for its bias.
They also slammed the network for propping up blonde bimbos.
But the women of Fox News had substance.
Megyn Kelly was a former prosecutor who had a knack for digging at people during interviews.
Fox News quickly turned Kelly into a star.
But her star began to fade when she attacked Donald Trump during a presidential debate.
Soon after, she left Fox for NBC News.
But her audience didn’t follow.
Poor ratings marred Kelly’s tenure at NBC.
It all came crashing down when Kelly made a benign comment about Halloween costumes.
Kelly issued a teary-eyed apology for her harmless comments, but it wasn’t enough.
The left tolerated Kelly when she attacked Trump, but they never really embraced her.
Just like that, the left discarded her.
The Aftermath
Kelly currently sits in limbo.
She’s trying to collect all of the money NBC owes her while planning her next move.
But Kelly likely would not be welcomed back at Fox News.
And it’s unclear where she would be welcome.
According to Variety, NBC’s “Today” show saw a ratings increase of almost 10% since Kelly’s ouster.
The key advertising demographic of ages 25-54 also saw an increase.
So the right doesn’t seem to want her, and the left certainly doesn’t.
That puts her in a very uncomfortable spot.
Kelly’s history with the president put her in the “Never Trump” Republican category.
But that isn’t a booming industry.
All of the mainstream outlets have their resident Republicans who bash Trump.
Besides, her saga at NBC proves the left isn’t interested in making nice with her.
The MSM
Kelly got a harsh lesson about the mainstream media.
They hate conservatives.
They openly call Fox News state-run media.
Leftists believe CNN and MSNBC are centrists, and Fox News is right-wing propaganda.
Kelly fell into the trap of thinking the mainstream would accept her.
Only people like Arianna Huffington who go full-bore leftist and renounce their conservatism are embraced.
The left wants total control of information.
The main conduits of information are the media, academia, and Hollywood.
Leftists control all three planks.
And they can’t have any challengers.
That’s why they must vilify Fox News.
They did the same with conservative talk radio before that.
Leftists try to chase conservative speakers off college campuses.
Their latest tactic is tech censorship.
The left is slowly pushing to regulate tech giants like Google, YouTube, and Facebook.
Half their job is already done because most of the tech moguls are leftists.
It didn’t take much prodding for them to ban commentator Alex Jones from all platforms.
The left can’t handle the fact that anyone listens to alternative viewpoints.
They believe there’s no longer need for debate.
