Actress Meghan Markle – best known as Rachel Zane in USA’s “Suits” – is the newest member to the Royal Family. Markle is now the Duchess of Sussex after marrying Prince Harry on May 19, 2018 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Princess Markle has been reportedly having a tough time dealing with the press in the United Kingdom. Given her new worldwide celebrity status, she’s frequently hounded on a daily basis because virtually everything the newcomer to the Royal Family does makes headline news.
And Meghan Markle was reportedly “horrified” by this one interview by Prince Andrew.
Nobody knows the ramifications of aggressive paparazzi quite like the Royal Family does because on August 31, 1997 Princess Diana of Wales was infamously killed in a car accident. The limousine driver was trying to flee the paparazzi when the car crashed, tragically taking her life.
Princess Markle has not been taking the hounding from the press too well either. As evidence, the Duchess of Sussex was taken aback when reporter Tom Bradby asked how she was doing. She responded, “Not many people have asked if I’m ok… it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”

Nobody knows this better than President Trump and was sympathetic towards Princess Markle’s berating by the press saying, “I guess you’ve got to be a little bit different than that but she takes it very personally and I can understand it. But I don’t know her.”
But the Royal Family is currently under scrutiny because Prince Andrew, Duke of York was allegedly friends with convicted pedophile and now-deceased Jeffrey Epstein and has been accused of sexual impropriety of underage minors.
On November 16th, an interview with Prince Andrew aired where he discussed his relationship from the recently departed Epstein he revealed that having sex with a then-17-year-old girl, for a guy, is a “positive act.”
When asked if he slept with any “young woman trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein,” Prince Andrew responded, “No, and without putting too fine a point on it, if you’re a man it is a positive act to have sex with somebody. You have to take some sort of positive action and so therefore if you try to forget it’s very difficult to try and forget a positive action and I do not remember anything.”
Princess Markle, who works with a charity to support female sex abuse survivors, said she was “uncomfortable” with his statement and also said she was “horrified” by certain parts. Prince Andrew has denied all accusations but there were certain parts of his interview that contradicted denials he’s made in the past.
Earlier this week, Prince Andrew was reportedly kicked out of his Buckingham Palace office. And Queen Elizabeth canceled Prince Andrew’s upcoming 60th birthday party in response to his Epstein BBC interview.
Princess Markle is right to be “horrified” – as we all should.
