Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have escalated their war on the Royal Family.
The relationship has utterly deteriorated.
And Meghan’s old friend ripped her and Harry for this selfish act.
There was speculation about whether or not the Sussexes would attend the coronation of Harry’s father, King Charles.
Harry finally confirmed he would be attending the event, however, Meghan would be staying home in California.
And one of Markle’s former friends, Lizzie Cundy, says she believes it’s because Meghan does not want to get booed by the English public.
The British former television presenter told reporters she thought it was “selfish” for Meghan to skip the event.
Cundy explained, “I think Meghan is not coming to the coronation because she knows she’s going to get booed but she’s putting her own feelings and worries about being booed before her children.”
She noted that Meghan is robbing her two children of being part of British history.
Cundy added, “I think it’s a travesty that Lilibet and Archie are not going to be at their grandfather’s coronation…What will Harry and Meghan say to them when they’re older? When they say ‘Why weren’t we there at the most historical moment in British history? Why weren’t we on that balcony?’”
Cundy posited, “What will Meghan answer? ‘I knew I was going to get booed so I didn’t want to go’…She’s putting herself before anyone and in fact, Harry by boasting about the Taliban has put his own family and the security threat at its highest form. Not only the royal family but the whole nation.”
Cundy first became friends with Meghan in 2013 when they were seated next to each other at an event.
She supposedly attempted to set up the D-list actress on a date with soccer star Ashley Cole, and several others have reported Meghan had been actively looking to marry someone famous in England.
She hit the jackpot when she bagged a prince, and claims to this day that she never Googled him.
A Royal insider assessed the Sussexes decision on the coronation saying, “They had to make a decision that felt genuine and authentic, especially after everything that has been said and all the things that have gone down…They care about their family, so Meghan is going to stay [in California] and Harry is going to support his dad.”
The animosity between the Sussexes and the rest of the working Royal Family reached a fever pitch when the couple sat for an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey and alleged racism on the part of the family.
It’s only gone downhill and more desperate since then.
In Harry’s ridiculous memoir “Spare,” he continued savaging his family, especially his older brother William.
Meghan skipping the coronation is just the latest episode in an unnecessarily contentious saga.
But it’s safe to assume the people of the UK – and certainly the Royal Family especially – are grateful.
