Violent crime has been on the rise the last few years.
And Democrats have been downplaying people’s concerns about safety.
Now a far-left Hollywood celebrity got a wake-up call after one stunning crime.
Residents of Los Angeles have been getting fed up with a rise in crime.
They got so fed up that Rick Caruso, who was a Republican five minutes ago, almost defeated leftist mayoral candidate Karen Bass.
But Angelenos weren’t fed up enough and they elected Bass, who is unlikely to roll back the soft-on-crime policies that are ruining the city.
And far-left musician John Legend got a taste of Bass’s Los Angeles when a criminal tried to steal his Porsche.
From Breitbart:
“The Los Angeles Police Dept. arrested a man they accused of trying to steal singer John Legend’s Porsche outside an L.A. recording studio. Legend’s car was reportedly parked outside the studio on Monday, when witnesses and security guards say a man walked up to the auto, opened the door, and sat down inside. He then reportedly began looking around inside the car for keys or a way to start the vehicle…Security guards called the police after watching the man’s actions on surveillance video. The LAPD reportedly confronted the man about what he was doing. After allegedly saying that the car was his, he reportedly turned and ran away. Officers chased him down and arrested him.”
Legend has been a constant critic of Donald Trump and the Republicans; Legend is so Trump-deranged that he once defended the criminal organization MS-13—whose mantra is “kill, steal, rape, control—because Trump referred to MS-13 killers as “animals.”
Crime has gotten so bad in Los Angeles that even people on the far left are getting fed up.
Hollywood actress Roseanna Arquette, who refused to work in Texas because of the state’s abortion law, supported the recall effort against George Soros-backed District Attorney George Gascón.
Gascón narrowly survived the recall effort because thousands of signatures were thrown out on a technicality.
Meanwhile, no dubious ballots were discarded during the 2020 election.
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian of the far-left news network The Young Turks have both recently spoken out about crime.
Uyghur revealed that he supported Caruso, and Kasparian said that her fellow “progressives” were making a big mistake by ignoring and minimizing crime.
Follow-home robberies from high-end stores have also become a trend.
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion, talk show host Arsenio Hall, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley, and pop singer Lana Del Rey are just a handful of celebrities who have been robbed recently in Los Angeles.
Even liberals in Beverly Hills are exercising their Second Amendment rights like never before.
In 2021, private security executive Joel Glucksman said, “Even hardcore leftist Democrats who said to me in the past, ‘I’ll never own a gun’ are calling me asking about firearms…I’d say there has been an increase of 80 percent in the number of requests I’m getting this year.”
The elites are finally beginning to get a taste of what everyone else is feeling due to far-left policies.
