When did it get to a point where Democrats are seething from the idea they only care about one thing and one thing only? Impeaching President Donald Trump is the only thing on their minds.
Millions of people have been watching the impeachment inquiries against Trump in the House of Representatives and that means congressmen and women are not getting anything else done.
And this acclaimed filmmaker says now the Democrats primary job is removing President Trump from office.
The Impeachment inquiries are all the rage right now in the House of Representatives. Democrats claim there have been bombshell testimonies against President Trump’s so-called quid pro quo on a call to Ukrainian President Zelensky where the White House allegedly held Congressional sanctioned money to the Ukraine.
But none of those who have testified in the hearings have any evidence there was quid pro quo or bribery for that matter.
Nevertheless, Democrats persist and they won’t stop until President Trump is removed from office.
And acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore thinks the Democrats primary job should be removing him from office.
The Academy Award winning director for “Bowling for Columbine” and the highest grossing documentary of all time “Fahrenheit 9/11” recently appeared on MSNBC following the Democratic debates.
MSNBC host Brian Williams asked Moore about what the focus should be after the public impeachment hearings from earlier that day.
Moore responded, “Well, yes, of course, Job One is beating — actually, Job One is convicting and removing Donald Trump sometime in the next couple of months.”
Shouldn’t the primary job of anybody elected to office be to work for the people? That’s literally their only job description.
Moore added, “So, it’s like if you really want to go to No. 1. After what we heard today, he shouldn’t be there in that White House, in our White House, another single day. Somebody said earlier on one of the shows here that — that in the — in the old days, there would be a delegation of Republicans going up to the White House today to say, ‘You know what? That’s it.’”
The thing Moore must have missed is how Trump is the duly elected President of the United States and over 60 million people made sure of that. Those elected in Congress should be doing exactly what they were elected to do – make laws.
Moore also said, “So, that’s Job One. Job One for the election next year is to make sure that we not only get rid of Trump or Trump’s replacement, but we get rid of that which gave us Trump. That’s really what the real issue should be.”
Is he saying to get rid of the ideology that elected Trump or the people that voted for him? Or both?
The ideology that got Trump elected is the swamp that pervaded Washington, D.C. under former President Barack Obama’s administration. That’s one of the main reasons why Trump was elected.
Moore concluded, “I said, the majority of the working class actually — are women, people of color and young people — are paid the least. So, when we say working class, it’s always, we’re always evoking this image of lunch bucket Joe. The actual working class of 2019 is a 30-year-old black woman. That’s really the working class. And when you say working class, I want everybody to always think, now, that’s a 30-year-old black woman, because that is what the working class is.”
The 65-year-old director was one of the first liberals who predicted Trump would win in 2016 and said so on HBO’s “Real Time w/ Bill Maher” in the months leading up to November’s General Election. Ironically, nobody listened to him.
But Congress really shouldn’t listen to him now.
