April Fool’s Day has become one of those divisive “holidays” where people either love it or are annoyed to point of infuriation.
Even when you wake up that morning and the first thing you realize it’s April 1st, even though you keep telling yourself you won’t be fooled today, chances are, you’ll get caught up in at least one.
And Tom Brady might have fooled a few people with this lame April Fool’s Day prank.
Or is he?
You might not know this but Tom Brady is one of the biggest trash talkers in the entire NFL. Something you obviously wouldn’t hear on your television watching the game but many opponents he’s faced claimed he’s kind of a loud mouth about it.
Is he good at it though?
Recently retired Rob Gronkowski said Tom Brady does talk a lot when he’s not handing the ball off but that he’s also terrible about it. Gronkowski said, “He gets going sometimes out on the field, I’ve seen him. Depending on the game, depending on the situation, where he is compared to the defensive players. He hands off the ball, he’s 10 yards back, so it’s not like he can really get after it.”
On April 1st, Brady made a really sad weird attempt to try and fool people and only the most gullible took the bite.
Brady opened a Twitter account that morning and wrote, “I’m retiring. In my spare time, I’ll be tweeting.”
I'm retiring. In my spare time, I'll be tweeting #LFG

Not only is it far from anything remotely believable but Brady’s joke is lame and if he thought he would get anybody then it makes it even lamer.
He even responded to his own tweet, “Was this a bad joke?”
Yes, it’s horrendous. You have to know that he thought it was hilarious. Former teammate Tedy Bruschi responded, “Twitter rookie move.”
In the meantime, Brady plans on playing until he’s 45-years-old and while he’s only 41 now, by the time the next season starts, he’ll be 42, which means he believes he’s got at least three more seasons in him.
It doesn’t look like he’s slowing down either despite sports “analysts” like Max Kellerman of ESPN’s First Take claimed over two years ago that Brady was going to “fall off a cliff” with his quarterback ability.
Brady’s been to the last three consecutive Super Bowls and won two out of three so it looks like Kellerman’s “analysis” was way off the mark and although they say father time is undefeated, when it comes to the longevity of Brady’s career, it doesn’t look he’s slowing down anytime soon.
