Get ready for a slew of upcoming movies to scold President Trump.
Every Late Night Talk Show already does, and there are a number of Comedy Central shows also aimed at undermining his presidency.
But in the blockbuster movie market, this anti-Trump celebrity is looking to take over one of the biggest studio/production companies.
Trump-hating celebrity Joss Whedon is filling in for Zack Snyder in the wake of the tragic death of his daughter on Justice League.
And Ben Affleck has been ultra supportive of Whedon’s work.
Comingsoon.net reports:
“Joe Morton, who plays Dr. Silas Stone (father/creator of Victor a.k.a. Cyborg) in Justice League, yesterday stated that one of the reasons for the extensive reshoots was to “lighten up the film.”
Now star Ben Affleck has spoken out to Entertainment Weekly about Joss Whedon’s Justice League involvement in the wake of director Zack Snyder departing after a family tragedy.
“It’s a little bit unorthodox,” says Affleck of Whedon taking over.
“Zack had a family tragedy, and stepped off, which was horrible. For the movie, the best person we could’ve possibly found was Joss.
We got really lucky that he stepped in. It’s an interesting product of two directors, both with kind of unique visions, both with really strong takes.
I’ve never had that experience before making a movie. I have to say, I really love working with Zack, and I really love the stuff we’ve done with Joss.”
Affleck also wanted to clarify that just because the reshoots have been a very dramatic and public process doesn’t necessarily mean bad things for Justice League or the DC Extended Universe.
“I’ve never worked on a movie that didn’t do reshoots,” Affleck added.
“’Argo,’ we did reshoots for a week and a half! Four days on ‘Gone Baby Gone!’ This is a really nice time to work in DC.
They’re hitting their stride. They’re getting it right. It’s starting to feel like it’s really working.”
Joss Whedon seems like the new budding star in the DC universe.
And that makes Affleck happy because rumors spread several weeks ago about the security of his job playing Batman and whether DC would move on from him.
They removed Affleck from directing and writing the stand-alone Batman, but maybe Whedon is the key.
But Whedon wasn’t the key for Marvel once the Avengers’ director grew a massive ego and wouldn’t compromise on his vision during the sequel.
So now we have a Trump-hating director who is the apparent “savior” of the newest movie.
Here’s some vileness he’s spewed about President Trump and his family.
This is harrowing, and it’s where we’re headed if we don’t unite and act. Please use your #resistance skills to address this atrocity https://t.co/28Jo704HCa

In another tweet, Whedon compared Jared Kushner to Harry Potter villain Voldermort and also said Ivanka looked like a dog.
This is simple: Trump cannot CANNOT be allowed a term in office. It’s not about 2018. It’s about RIGHT NOW

It will be interesting to see if Whedon takes a shot at Trump in his newest vehicle, whether it be subtle or overt.
