The Fake News epidemic is spiraling out of control.
CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times are the biggest culprits of spreading false, anti-Trump information.
And although CNN was just involved in a Fake News scandal, the liberally biased network obviously didn’t learn their lesson because they just spread another lie about Trump.
Breitbart reports:
“CNN is at it again, pushing more very fake news designed to hurt President Donald Trump with misinformation fed to viewers through its channel.
This time, on the morning of the Fourth of July, CNN political analyst Julian Zelizer, also a historian at Princeton University, inaccurately claimed that President Trump never made an Article 5 commitment to America’s NATO allies.
The startling and deeply inaccurate accusation came during a discussion about President Trump’s upcoming meetings at the G20 summit, his forthcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and tensions rising in North Korea.
‘The United States can’t weaken its commitment to South Korea,’ Zelizer said, adding:
That won’t work. That won’t help the situation. This has been a central ally in the effort to put pressure on North Korea.
It’s the same as our efforts to engage China. So this is a place where there could be actually considerable tension with Russia.
Look, there’s something very important President Trump has to do, actually, and it is to affirm his commitment to NATO—something he has not done. That’s a big factor in creating an alliance that will strengthen our ability to.’
When asked in a follow-up by CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield—who did not correct Zelizer’s inaccuracy—if that’s something he thinks might be ‘potentially happening’ on Trump’s upcoming trip, Zelizer again peddled the fake news.
‘I don’t know if it will happen,’ Zelizer said. ‘But I think it’s actually quite urgent. I think it’s something Putin needs to hear.
For all the bluster, I think it’s something he has not said. And I think it would be very helpful to the administration.’”
Except Zelizer’s assertion is simply not true.
In fact, CNN actually debunked Zelizer’s comments from a June 9th report that was literally entitled, “Trump Commits to NATO’s Article 5.”
Inside that article CNN quoted President Trump as saying, “I am committing the United States to Article 5.”
On CNN, @julianzelizer says Trump hasn’t made an article 5 commitment to NATO allies. Wrong. Sadly, @FWhitfield didn’t correct him. pic.twitter.com/Pz3VJ2tFOY

Julian Zelizer responded to his erroneously false statement by saying,
“POTUS has sent mixed messages and there is reason to question his commitment. Reaffirming this at summit would be important.”
Zelizer’s ego won’t allow him to be wrong.

The noble action CNN needs to take is to fire Zelizer, retract the statement, and then apologize on both parties’ behalf. But, again, egos are involved and neither entity has integrity.
“The noble action CNN needs to take is to fire…” Zucker!
The entire CNN operation is taking it’s lead from the top. IF, and yes it is a big IF, they want to regain relevance and stay in business then they need to clean house starting with the corner office and revamp their entire approach and try to get back to their glory days as a “News” organization.
Those of us “of an age” well remember when CNN was the go to whenever there was breaking news anywhere in the world. Now that seems like such a long, long time ago.
