This is without a doubt going to be a weekly residual arrest schedule for Hollywood royalty, Jane Fonda. The two-time Academy Award winner has been arrested the past two Fridays in a row and made it a third this past weekend.
Fonda was arrested with her co-star in “Grace and Frankie,” Sam Waterston, two Fridays ago.
But Jane Fonda was arrested again and this time with a different Hollywood legend with the former being Sam Waterston.
Netflix happily obliged Jane Fonda from a hiatus of her hit show “Grace and Frankie” so she could travel to Washington, D.C. to protest on behalf of climate change in the nation’s capital.
She claims to have gotten this newfound inspiration from 16-year-old Swedish activist, Greta Thunberg, who infamously traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to “raise awareness” for climate change.
Jane Fonda is the daughter of World War II Naval Officer hero and acclaimed actor, Henry Fonda, but was regarded as public enemy #1 amongst Vietnam War veterans who prominently protested the war, which she was famously nicknamed “Hanoi Jane.”
While protesting in Vietnam, Fonda appeared on 10 radio programs to speak out against the U.S. military’s policy in Vietnam and also to beg pilots to cease bombing non-military targets. But things took a dramatic turn when during that trip, she was photographed seated on an anti-aircraft gun in Hanoi, making it look like she would shoot down American planes.
Of course it caused massive outrage. Since that fateful day in 1972, Jane Fonda claims to have regretted allowing that photo to be taken. That’s too little, too late, right? The damage had already been done.
Now she’s taken her protesting prowess to Washington, D.C. where she was arrested for the third week in a row and this time alongside “Cheers” star Ted Danson.
Apparently, Washington, D.C. has become a hotbed of celebrities protesting supposed climate change.
According to Washington Post’s Hannah Jewel, who covers the protests, Danson introduced himself as Jane Fonda’s “new trainee” when he spoke to the crowd, which of course was met by cheers.

Why someone, celebrity or not, would like to get arrested is a weird scenario.
Jane Fonda also claims to be a “climate scientist” and apparently has been “for decades.”
In a recent interview, Fonda said, “I’ve been a climate scientist for decades and decades, but it was Greta Thunberg, this little Swedish girl holding her sign every Friday in front of the Swedish Parliament. And all the student strikers all over the world who have really risked a lot and given up a lot in order to say, ‘Wake up old people. How come you’re not standing with us? You’ve taken our future away!’”
Not only is she not a “climate scientist,” but Jane Fonda didn’t even graduate from Vassar College while she attended.
The fact that other celebrities revere Hanoi Jane as some sort of symbol of protest is gross. She has literally put American soldiers in harm’s way.
