Democrats are doing everything they can to bring down Ron DeSantis.
The Florida governor is a rising star in the Republican Party, and the left is sending celebrities to bash him.
Now a “woke” tennis star just told one big lie about DeSantis.
Women’s tennis phenom Coco Gauff is jumping on the liberal bandwagon against Governor Ron DeSantis.
The Florida native attacked the governor for his intention to sign the Parental Rights in Education bill that was passed by the state legislature.
The law would block public schools from engaging in classroom discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity with kids in grades K-3.
It would also mandate that schools notify parents if their children are assuming a different gender at school.
The Democrats lied and smeared the legislation as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill even though the word “gay” does not appear anywhere in the bill.
And Gauff joined the parade of liberals attacking the bill.
“I’m against it…I think these conversations are important, and for me, who has friends in the LGBTQ+ community, I couldn’t imagine not being able to talk about your identity. I feel that’s something that is normal.”
Gauff and other liberals have not been able to explain why it’s imperative to have classroom discussions with kids eight-years old and younger about sexual orientation and radical gender expression.
“Every [LGBTQ+] person I’ve known has known that they were part of that community since they were young…I think it’s important that they have those conversations in school, because that is supposed to be a safe space to talk about everything.”
School is supposed to be a place for instruction, not indoctrination.
With kids falling behind in basic math and reading skills, it’s absurd to focus on radical issues like gender identity.
Plus, the law does not preclude schools from talking to young kids in private settings about such sensitive topics.
Hollywood liberals pressured Disney to put the screws to DeSantis, but he did not budge.
In a recent appearance, DeSantis said:
“[T]he chance that I am going to back down from my commitment to students and back down from my commitment to parents’ rights simply because of fraudulent media narratives or pressure from woke corporations, the chances of that are zero. I also think that you have companies like a Disney that are gonna say and criticize parents’ rights, they’re gonna criticize the fact that we don’t want transgenderism in kindergarten and first grade classrooms. If that’s the hill that they’re gonna die on, then how do they possibly explain lining their pockets with their relationship from the Communist Party of China?”
DeSantis struck the perfect tone by fighting back against “woke” corporations.
It’s not even the entire corporation; it’s a vocal and unruly minority from within that raises a fuss and gets management to cave.
If more people stand up to leftist smear campaigns, the nonsense would eventually stop.
