Michael Moore is the Colin Kaepernick of Hollywood.
The Academy Award-winning filmmaker’s career is essentially over, living off the residuals of “Fahrenheit 9/11,” but Moore keeps popping back up in the news because he fears irrelevancy and will say outlandish absurdities into the void to combat that fear – much like Kaepernick.
And what Michael Moore just said about white males who support President Trump was the epitome of that and it will absolutely infuriate you.
Liberal director Michael Moore used to be a town darling but the Hollywood cliché “What have you done for me lately?” certainly applies to him. Moore has a string of bombs since he made the highest-grossing documentary ever made with “Fahrenheit 9/11.”
“Sicko,” “Slacker Uprising,” “Capitalism: A Love Story” and “Where to Invade Next” proved the progressive liberal lost his touch, even amongst his most leftist audience. But when he made “Michael Moore in TrumpLand” and “Fahrenheit 11/9,” it just proved he suffered from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
And now Moore has stepped up his obsession by claiming white men who voted for Donald Trump are “not good people.”
Moore said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, “I refuse to participate in post-racial America. I refuse to say because we elected Obama that suddenly that means everything is ok, white people have changed. White people have not changed.”
The Oscar winner for “Bowling for Columbine” added, “Two-thirds of all white guys voted for Trump. That means anytime you see three white guys walking at you, down the street towards you, two of them voted for Trump. You need to move over to the other sidewalk because these are not good people that are walking toward you. You should be afraid of them.”
His aggressively hateful stance towards white guys aside, isn’t it hilarious that he felt the need to explain fractions in a way of “three white guys walking at you,” as if most people don’t understand basic mathematics?
But to suggest people should be “afraid” of white men is ludicrous and it’s a dangerous analysis even for the most progressive liberals like Moore.
Somewhat ironically, however, Moore was one of the only liberals that predicted Trump would defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016 right before the General Election because he traveled through the rust belt states and spoke with many Middle Americans who were fed up with the direction this country was headed.
And he revealed that prediction on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” which was, of course, met with thunderous boos and scoffs by the host, panel members and the audience.
Now Moore thinks it’ll happen again in 2020 too.
In an interview last week with “Democracy Now!,” Moore said, “The problem is, is that he will — if the vote were today, I believe, he would win the electoral states that he would need, because, living out there, I will tell you, his level of support has not gone down one inch. In fact, I’d say it’s even more rabid than it was before because they’re afraid now. They’re afraid he could lose because they watched his behavior. So they are voracious in their appetite for Donald Trump.”
Moore is from Flint, Michigan and claims to travel through areas of Iowa, Ohio, Missouri, Pennsylvania, etc.
The filmmaker is definitely wrong about accusing white men of being dangerous but he’s absolutely right about Trump winning in 2020, regardless of who wins the Democratic nomination in 2020.
Trump voters are happy with the job he’s done so far. Nothing has changed despite the demonization against him by the progressive left.
