Democrats are working hard to further divide the country.
Joe Biden occupying the White House has done nothing to curb the left’s thirst for revenge.
Now a television host could lose a gig after one ridiculous anti-Trump comment.
Even though Donald Trump is no longer in office, it seems as though Trump Derangement Syndrome is incurable.
Democrats’ ire for Trump and all Republicans remains incredibly high.
But the over-the-top rhetoric coming from the left could trigger a backlash.
TV host Katie Couric could be one of the first to experience it in the Biden era.
Legendary game show host Alex Trebek lost his battle with cancer, and celebrities have been guest-hosting “Jeopardy” while the show searches for a permanent replacement.
Guest host Katie Couric was on the list of potential permanent hosts, but she might’ve blown her shot after going on Bill Maher’s talk show and denigrating Republicans.

Couric and other liberals have used the Capitol Hill riot to go after Republicans more generally, and Jeopardy viewers don’t particularly like it.
According to Page Six:
A “Jeopardy!” source told Page Six the remarks immediately worried the producers of the Sony Pictures-created show, which attracts an audience with a median age of 64.2 years old. The source said, “The ‘Jeopardy!’ audience is very conservative. And the show has always steered clear of politics.
Members of the left seem to think that only liberals watch television; it doesn’t occur to them that there’s an entire other half of the country that engages in culture as well.
Page Six continued:
“Katie’s comments so soon after she was announced as a host are very concerning to the producers. They are worried there will be a backlash against her. There has already been some complaints.
“Jeopardy viewers are quite a traditional bunch, and there’s fears she might be too polarizing after this. At the very least, she already appears to have ruled herself out of becoming the permanent host of the show.”
If Democrats are serious about unity, then they need to start acting like it.
Demonizing half the country isn’t going to bring about national healing, and censorship won’t work, either.
Record-setting “Jeopardy” champion Ken Jennings has also been tapped as a guest host, but his disgusting broadsides against Republicans on Twitter could preclude from being the permanent host as well.
Regardless of whoever gets the job, picking a divisive figure would only serve to further split the country.
